You popped up and pouted at having your time with him interrupted, but got up regardless to sniff out the source of the intrusion, finding the box left for you. You took in the alien scent of the thing when Shuck informed you that a note was attached to it. You had a good idea of where it came from before he even offered to read it for you, and your expression softened to a delighted smile at the prospect. 

You listened as Shuck read the note, though he said he wasn’t able to make out the braille at the bottom. You’d heard him, but were too busy sniffing through the box and feeling over the jewelry to pay full attention to it. The rings slid into place over your fingers without much fuss, and you were impressed that he’d miraculously managed to get your ring size right. The necklace was easy enough to clasp into place as well without any real help. You ask Shuck what metal the adornments were made of, and he coolly informed you. He also mentioned that the sapphires suited you. 

A flutter passed over your heart at how kind the gift was. You’d have to thank Abe somehow in the future. Your fingers slipped over the facets of the rings repetitively as you smiled almost more to yourself than anyone else.

Shuck handed you the note to try and decipher the braille, but you found you also couldn’t read it. It must have been a different language, one neither of you knew, meaning that it was not from this universe. Not surprising, but a tad disappointing. You would wonder what it said.
