On 18th November 1982 the South Ford causeway between Benbecula and South Uist is opened in a ceremony held in a severe gale.

And like, I have absolutely no idea where Causeway and next year’s boxset are going, so this is pure speculation based off no evidence… but, to answer my initial question and in light of prequel problemzzz, I think that a fitting ending for Dacy could be team TARDIS facing a Word Lord or some language-based villain. At the end of this hypothetical exit story Audacity defeats the big bad but in order to do so she must sacrifice her own Name, as in, the name Audacity Montague will be erased/struck from the ledger of the universe. She is able to survive and go off on her own adventures, maybe even reunite with Ignatius if she wants that, but time will have been altered so that, in name only, she will have never existed. She will still be physically present in history and The Doctor and Charley can remember her but they won’t be able speak her name or make reference to her again. After this, every instance in the monthly range stories where the Doctor and Charley should mention Audacity but conspicuously don’t, she’s retroactively inserted into the subtext.
