1週間、ねこ描き合宿をしてきました。できればこのスケッチをまとめたZINEをつくりたいな。

With this sketch I was sticking to the idea of sketching whatever is in front of me…in this case, Captain Haddock in one of his favourite spots in the evening – though he prefers to sit there when my wife is also trying to use the footstool. A malong (a traditional Filipino garment) is a large, tube-shaped piece of cloth that is wrapped around the body, worn by men and women.  Tue-18-Feb-2025

One of my sketchbooks wouldn’t be complete without a sketch of our cats. Here they are on their cat condo. Captain Haddock, who seems to get bigger each day (big boned I say, not fat), hangs over the edge of the bit he prefers to sit on. General Tapioca is still small and seems like he is going to be kitten sized forever. Fri-7-Feb-2025

Our cats (who are brothers, but a few years apart), are looking more and more like each other. The main difference is that Captain Haddock is huge and General Tapioca seems like he is always going to be little. Tue-3-Dec-2024

Our cat, Captain Haddock, has decided that this old pizza box is his favourite spot at the moment and he spends all day camped out there, sleeping. Naturally every morning, when I get up (and several times during the day), I trip over the box. This sketch (very roughly) follows the prompt of “camp” for Day 22 of #Inktober2024. Sat-8-Nov-2024
