So I was right. Min ho and Kitty got together real early on and then broke up... but it didn't last like i'd wanted as they got back together in the last bit of ep 8, Kitty got no further exploration of her bisexuality and I felt let down.

I am disappointed. I was hoping that after setting up Kitty being happy with herself while single in the latter half of the season, that they'd leave any lingering relationship stuff for a possible season 4 but no, they just gave us more mooncovey to lead into the possible season 4.

I expected Min ho to be endgame, it was really obvious. Its a k-drama style show and most of those have a basic formula that ends in straight romance (plus it's Netflix and they historically hate sapphic ships). I just hoped that the queer storylines and the queer main character were handled better... I was very wrong.

Q turns out to be a homewrecker and a cheater? After flaming Florian and dumping him for cheating on a test in season 1? What the fuck was that about? That's two queer character's they've made cheaters and none of the straight ones. Also season 1 Q would have never been like the way he was in season 3!

Praveena gets dumped a second time for Yuri, what the hell! Why break Juliana and Yuri up if they're just gonna get back together... there wasn't even any catglass exploration, that's why they broke up and they didn't even give anything!! That means they broke up for no reason! The season would barely have changed if Juliana and Yuri hadn't broken up in season 2.

Speaking of hancovey, why were Yuri and Kitty acting like nothing fucking happened?! Kitty is pining for Yuri for like a year or two (in universe), gets one kiss, is ghosted for a bit and is immediately over her? and then their friends again like nothing happened between them??

And yet when Kitty and Min ho break up, she's a mess and can't get over him... make it make sense. Not to mention, Kitty and Min ho get multiple minute long kissing scenes that get shown multiple times while Kitty and Yuri got 5 seconds at most that's shown twice.

Also what the fuck is with Marius, why was he brought in? just to be an antagonist, break some relationships and then be buddies with them without even showing an apology on screen or anything??? Bro was so unnecessary! Attractive but annoying and not needed.

Gina was also just there... like her only purpose was to make Min ho realise what he needed, to spell things out for him because his spoilt ass can't think for himself? You could have had her be Yuri's new love interest and kept Juliana with Praveena! like, maybe could have had them flirting while the fashion show/Yisoo stuff and have them get together after she won the runway thing... missed opportunities here!

Back to hancovey, where did Kitty's crush go? She wrote a letter saying she was in love with Yuri! You don't lose that kind of crush after one kiss and some ghosting, not to mention her first crush on a girl? that's not being forgotten... Its almost like they wanted us to forget about the last two seasons of Kitty liking Yuri so that they Min ho could be more loved... it seems like all the pining lead nowhere for no reason and was tossed away.

Also Yuri leaned into the kiss in season 2, she was the one initiating it, she clearly liked Kitty or else she wouldn't have, so where did that go? They could have had her Pining over Kitty like I said in my prediction, have her jealous and upset that her chance passed, but no- they made them besties like nothing happened!

Important note! Bi/pan/omni/multi-gender attracted people don't have to date all the genders they're attracted to in order to be valid, you are valid even if you've only dated guys as a bi woman, you're valid if you've only dated girls as a bi woman, vice versa for men.... Coming from a bi masc myself.

But when you write a show and have a big plot point for two seasons be that one of the characters was another's gay awakening... and offer that person as a potential love interest... at least follow through with that, even if the endgame is someone else... one kiss is not following through, its half assing it and shit writing.

I know in my experience with crushes, to which there was a lot, If I was at the stage of saying 'i love [Blank]' then I am not going to lose interest and have my feelings fade into nothing from a single kiss. My feelings won't fade for a while... Straight people don't fall out of love that easily unless the person is downright horrible (and if you did from a small issue, you never loved them as much as you thought you did.).

Yuri ghosted Kitty so it didn't seem like they were actively getting together because she felt insanely guilty for hurting Juliana, who she continues to love in season 3 with her saying something like 'i would love another chance but she would have to make the first move'. She didn't ghost Kitty because she didn't like Kitty.

And again, comparing it to Min ho. He actively has been a dick since season 1, gets upset at her for having insecurities in their relationship which are entirely valid considering their differences (though its not known if Kitty told him about what his dad said), for thinking he might have impregnated Eunice because he lied to her (he could have just said 'Eunice needs me, its important, i'm sorry i'll make it up to you' and Kitty would have been okay with that), and then ghosts her and ignores her for a while... yet no issue there... that's perfectly fine. Kitty still loves him...

Yet her crush on Yuri is gone from a single kiss and being ghosted... right-

I also sorta have this problem with Dae and Kitty... They were each other's first loves and yet move on so easily. Though it makes a bit more sense with them, Kitty liked Yuri the whole time and wanted to make it work but was struggling, Dae felt betrayed but realised it wasn't about him... that ended nicely.

I'm complaining a lot, lets go onto some positives.

Lara Jean is cool, I didn't watch the movies where she's the main character but she's cool... and had no right looking that hot making cookies.

I do like how they handled Yuri being poor, having her learn how to manage now that she doesn't have money to save her... I do feel like it was all handed to her but I can excuse that with her being famous already and also its a show and they want things to go right for the main characters.

Love Kitty being her matchmaker self and not just matchmaking romance but helping friendships too.

Love that Dae and Eunice get back together, fuck yeah, they are adorable! And Dae's dad opening a restaurant was so cute, the fact he weren't against Yuri for what her dad did was great.

I did enjoy some of the one liners from Min ho, none of the sappy romantic shit, just the jokes and stuff. "Admit it!" still makes me laugh in compilations and rewatching season 2

I also really enjoyed the Jiwon and Alex storyline, its adorable though a little oddly written, but still adorable. Guess Kitty and Alex will be family after all, full circle from season 1 for them. Though that does mean Kitty and Yuri are family... they really said 'No more hancovey shipping!'.

Now, if you enjoyed season 3, good for you, i'm happy for you, i'm glad you enjoyed it. I personally didn't and I think that the writing and story could have been a lot better. Season 1 is fine, its a great introduction (continuation?) into Kitty's story. Season 2 lacks a little bit, everything with the romance feels iffy like they didn't want to actually write Yuri as a love interest despite setting it up. Season 3 is just character assassination for everyone, even Min ho.

If the writers changed their story to appease the straight women who thirst of Sang Heon Lee and won't watch shoes with sapphic main love stories (the same people mad about Bridgerton season 5 being sapphic), then that's just stupid on their part. If you have a story planned, don't change it because a section of the fan base wants something different, we need more sapphic rep as well as m/f friendships and could have done both in this show.

If the writers planned this the whole time... there should have been a more satisfying end to Yuri and Kitty as a ship, a conversation about their feelings on screen or actually having them be together for an episode or two then having them break up because Yuri still really loved Juliana or they realised that romance wasn't what they wanted of each other...

I just think they went from season 1 where anything was possible; to season 2 where Yuri was set up well and then not actually closed off, she was also made to look worse so Min ho looked better; to season 3 where they were shoving Min Ho down my throat and trying to make it look like the only good option... when its not.

They made every other character and relationship look worse just so Min ho shines, even Kitty was dimmed in her own show.
