That’s the biggest “issue” I have with people pointing out my age.
If I say something homophobic or transphobic or just blatantly wrong, Yes - by all means, call me the fuck out.
But if your (general you, not you specifically) only retort to my posts is to point out my age, then I think I’m doing okay. You choose not to attack my opinion or the facts; You come after me for my age, something so pointless and irrelevant to discourse in general. That says infinitely more about the people doing it than it does about me.
One day, the people saying shit like “OMFG YOURE 28, YOU OLD ASS CREEP” are going to be 28 too and they will rapidly realize that life doesn’t stop when you turn 21; Your opinions and desire to fight for something you believe in doesn’t just disappear. They, like the majority of people my age, will look back at some of the shit they said and did in their teen years and be absolutely horrified at what a turd they were.
