Tapestries with TSM Images

I've been wanting to do something with the scenic wallpapers from TSM for a while - but wallpaper-creation is not my strong point, and as murals they might have been a bit too much. Instead, I put them on tapestries. The meshes are from Dragon Valley and the Castle/Knight tapestry (originals not required). The maiden with flowers and the unicorn are from TSM carpets.

Update Jan. 17th 2023: Added more images and improved the placement of the first three. A fully CaSt-able preset is now included.

Schoolbus Default and Driveable Wagon

The download contains two packages: The default replaces the schoolbus with the covered wagon, the buyable version is the same wagon which your Sims can buy and drive themselves. They're independent of each other - both can be installed or only one.

To get the default to show up in an existing save, clear your word-caches.

The buyable version has a CaSt-able second preset. Although it displays four channels, it uses only three. The horses are not recolourable. I chose dark ones to hide the fact that transparency is not working on them. The buyable object will also require a large parking-space.

Update Nov. 6th 2022: Added a version without the cover (wish of @pudding-parade ). The buyable versions can be installed alongside each other, but you can have only one version as a default.

TSM to TS3 - Ye Medieval Universitie

A while ago I got an ask wondering why there were so few historical custom science stations from the University EP. Now know why - these use a lot of special effects!

Nevertheless, I converted the Arcane Tomes from The Sims Medieval as science stations and the operating table as a brain-enhancement machine.

The arcane tomes are recolourable. The ‘rustic’ variation is supposed to use transparency, but stubbornly refused. I’m going to try again next weekend, so  might update it then. But as this is really just a decorative detail, I thought I might as well post it as it is now.

The operating tables clip through the wall when not in use, but on the plus side this means they’re animated. The uncomfortable one is cloned from a cheap machine, the one with the mattress from an expensive one. The operating tables are not recolourable.

University Life is required!

TS2 Seasons Conversions

It all started with me trying to find the mesh of the shower - but since it involved reinstalling my discs, I figured I might as well get everything I may want to use from ts2 Seasons.

The miniature jars and doll of the cornershelf also come as separated objects. I thought they’d look lovely as odd dollhouse items in a historic nursery.

The shower uses an original dirt texture as a second preset, in case you want your bathroom to look really grungy. This overlay is not CASt-able though. The same overlay with 50% transparency is used when the shower actually gets dirty. (Seen on the third shower in the preview.) Like the original, the sides of this shower disappear into the walls - I always assumed this was to give it a built-in feel.

The rest of the bathroom set has already been converted by Pocci/Gardenbreeze.

The wardrobe and dresser require Supernatural. The vanity table comes with three of its original overlays, but the first preset is recolourable. The wardrobe has roses from the original as a stencil in the second preset, but I had to keep much of the white background to preserve the narrow lines. The wardrobe is also fully functional and animated.

The stool from the vanity table works as a dining-chair. Sadly it can’t be placed in front of the vanity table for gameplay, and if you want to do it for storytelling you’ll need “moveobjects on”. Also the drawer of the table doesn’t open.

The herbs and spicerack are included as decorative items here, and functional as invisible canning stations along with the kitchen gloves I converted earlier. The herbs turned out a bit dark, sorry about that!

Now I wonder how much could be done with slot edits there... I’d love to recreate something like the Sims 4 cards table, but I’m not sure that would be possible.

TSM Rocking Horse

I saw this for Sims 2 in this post, and wanted to have it, too.

It’s cloned from a Generations spring rider. While animations are cute for toddlers, they look extremely dangerous for children. If you have Supernatural installed, I recommend using the version below for children. Like all spring riders it has to be placed with “MoveObjects on” indoors. The first preset has an overlay, the second is recolorable.

TSM-Supernatural Rocking Horse

This one works as a rocking horse from Supernatural and requires that EP. It can only be used by children, but animations for them look much more natural. Costs 275§ and is found under Kids/Toys. It’s recolorable.

Fairy Crib Overhaul

After I made the default, I actually started using this crib and found many more things to change.

This version has:

No big leaf

Cast-able mattress

Fixed bars: They no longer end in mid air when pushed up

Optional stencil as 2nd preset. The mattress in this preset looks like the original one, but is cast-able, too.

Smaller texture tiling

As I’ve changed pretty much everything about the object now, it’s non default and doesn’t require the store item.

Three channels

Mesh by EA from Aurora Skies

I've disabled the footprint because even before I did so, Sims could walk through it. So now you can place it in any door or arch without moveObjects and Sims can still use the doorway. It doesn’t actually prevent toddlers from going anywhere.
