That blood aspect post tbh

That was probably my best post ever. I was going to write a whole essay on Signless and how change was basically everything that mattered about his themes, I even had notes all written out for it, but never got around to finishing it before canon came with it’s stamp of “BONDS”.

I still like my version more tbh.

Yeah but then that just cycle’s back to that whole “witches manipulate” argument, ie: I can’t see the word “use” being the defining thing about Knights because it’s just so damn vague.

Like don’t all classes use their aspect, just to accomplish different goals? How do Knights do this differently?

Are they a “jack of all trades, master of none” class in that they can theoretically do anything with their aspect, just only at a mediocre level? In which case what defines how well they are able to do things? Or how a Knight acquiring something using their aspect is different from a thief or rogue doing it?

Are they not defined by their functionality at all? But in this case what are defined by? What are Knights focused around?

It’s like, Aradia said Seers “know” their aspect, and Andrew later said something like “Seers would be better described as maybe someone who can understand their aspect” (butchered quote) so the “verb” of each class clearly isn’t set in stone, and is most likely just a descriptive shorthand for what the class does,

But, Seers still have a clear and concise ***focus*** for what they do and are: Seers are a knowledge based class who are able to gather and understand information related to their aspect, as well chart a timeline based around their aspect (probably), but they don’t hold up too well on the front lines of combat.

Even if the “theme” or focus of the Seer can’t exactly be summed up in one word, it does exist, it’s clear and specific about what it is, and there isn’t currently a well supported equivalent of this for Knights that I know of.

I guess in this case "compromise" means "settle for anything less than single payer"?
