i don't think he'd be that informed about pregnancies and stuff tbh
he's not exactly the most intelligent
but obviously as a man he knows that babies come from sex
but that doesn't stop him from hitting it raw and still being surprised when it actually takes
but on a more serious note he'd be a little oblivious to your symptoms if you don't tell him right away
he'd be freaked out by your constant state of nausea and hormone swings
at first he'd just ignore it, think it's some sickness you came across with all the traveling you two do
but once your symptoms have continued on for over a few weeks he actually starts to get worried
he would recommend seeing a doctor, or rather bringing a doctor to you due to your nausea leaving you bed bound at times
he doesn't like vomit alright?
depending on your response, i.e, if you reject his request, he's gonna get annoyed
he feels helpless, he wants to end your discomfort, he feels like you're too vulnerable to continue traveling, + he hates vomit
its funny to watch, he'd constantly checking up on you, looming over you while you lie in bed with a grimace
it takes everything within you to not facepalm when he inoffensively points out your weight gain
he'll squeeze around the areas, such as your thighs and especially the stomach n be like "aww cute, i feed you so well?"
like right trevor right you're feeding us so well right right
he figures it out eventually if you don't end up telling him
but in this case let's say you do, and only because he comes to you all super wasted and unable to tell whats right and left
it annoys you, because first— you can't drink either so why should he? second— you're growing his giant baby and then he has the audacity to come to you like he's a baby himself demanding your attention?
in a fit of disbelief, disappointment, and jealousy, you just drop the bomb and tell him to cut it out and go to bed
literally freezes in place, his drunken mind tried to comprehend and connect the dots of what you just said
he registers "i'm" and "child" but he's too wasted to even be able to comprehend such life altering news that he just slowly sheds his clothes and follows your advice, gets into bed with you all quiet and confused
knocks out after like 2 minutes
in the morning he's like severely hungover and doesn't remember much, it's only when he's doing something trivial like sharpening his sword or wtv does the memories flood his mind and he just instantly freezes up again
once he realizes the importance of your words he's instantly running to find you
doesn't matter if you're in the bath, asleep still, or out and about (unlikely to be alone), he's running to find you and once he does he's going to grasp into your shoulders and force you to maintain eye contact with you with a straight face to see if you're lying
once he realizes you're not joking he's only gonna ask two questions, how far along do you think you are and if it's a boy or girl (like you'd know bruh)
you'd have to calmy explain to him like he's a child while playing with his hair that you're only a few months along and that you don't know if it's a boy or a girl, and just hope its a healthy normal baby
he'll be like "mhm i see 😵💫"
the following morning after the day you tell him he literally wakes up a new man
suddenly, he doesn't really want to go to a bar and get wasted until he's on the verge of passing out
instead he'd rather watch you read or write or whatever you like to do, and just watch and watch
his view on you changes, he feels this instinct to constantly be around you and monitor you and watch everyone around to make sure they don't try anything
it's gonna hurt your feelings but for the first month or so he'd gonna be hesitant at all to touch you
not because he thinks you're gross, but just because the whole thing is just something he'd never thought he'd experience and now that it's happening he can't quite believe it
one night he gets home from a tiring day of buying some food from the markets and he wants nothing more than to just breathe in the scent of your hair and lie together skin to skin
and so thats what he does, he strips you of your gown so gently and chastely, his fingers gliding over the warmth of your skin and guides you to the bed until you're practically tucked into his bare chest, his arms wrapped around your waist
his eyes would finally notice the slight swell of your bump and he'd finally have the guts to put his palm to your stomach and feel
it'd make you smile to seem so unsure of something he hasn't met yet, but you could see the warmth in his eyes that signal he's content in just laying with you in peace for a thousand years like this if it was possible
for the rest of the duration of your pregnancy, trevor physically and both mentally has cooled down, it almost scares you
he becomes more aware of what he says, does— actually thinks before he punches someone or something, drinks considerably less
he doesn't let you walk behind him, he always makes you walk in front of him so he can have his eyes on you
trevor doesn't do much during your pregnancy, he does get a bit more clingy
if you request, he'll massage your back and feet, wash your body for you and begrudgingly make you whatever strange cravings you have and watch you eat said cravings with a raised eyebrow
absolutely enjoys lifting your baby bump in his hands to feel the weight, but also finds it a bit funny when you get annoyed after he lets go
in the later months of the pregnancy, assuming you're both still traveling, he puts all plans to a pause and forces you to stay in bed
doesn't like it at all if you try to climb or jump or really anything other than walking and sitting down
a lot of nights he stays awake and watches you sleep, he tries to think of a "plan" for your birth, all the endless possibilities
gets nauseated at the thought of something going wrong, he'd try not to think of those types of situations but sometimes they get to him and he finds himself clinging to you like how a sad child clings to their sick mother and falling asleep that way
if something happens to you, even if someone accidentally pushes you in the slightest it takes everything within him to not blow a fuse
don't they see you're pregnant and can barely stand on your two own feet? the absurdity of everyone!!!!
wouldn't let you go out alone no more
he'd tease you a lot, mostly about the penguin walk or when you'd cry over something trivial, he'd think you're cute and coo at you like you're a little baby and would think it's even funnier when you'd get even more upset
his attitude towards the baby is still a bit indifferent
he'd find it hard to love something he hasn't met, the entire duration of the pregnancy his real concern has been you and mainly you, but that doesn't mean he hates the baby
doesnt care about gender, a boy he thinks would be more easier cuz he himself is a boy, but then at the same time if it's a girl and girls are cute and boys can be fussy but he's not interested in girly activities and it just goes on and on and on
tries to think if it's safe to bring a baby traveling? def not
he's be fine with retiring if that is what it means to have a child, but at the same time he'd be a little sad cuz who is he gonna fight?
once you go into labor, he feels really bad at your pain
holds your hand, rubs at your back, tries to get your mind off things and tries to be calm for your sake which he actually does quite well
if the doctor looks like he isn't doing a good job trevor would get really mad and probably cuss him out
again, for your sake he'd try his best to really just be there for you and ignore everything he feels
the next hours are a blur for him, doesn't even eat or drink or sleep, it's just him guarding you like a wolf the entire time
nearly passes out once you finally deliver the baby
i literally cannot for the life of me tell if his first child would be a girl or boy
but once he finally meets the baby does he immediately feel the connection bloom and boy does he really become a father
doesnt let any other male come within the vicinity of your baby, especially if it's a girl
if its a girl he definitely enrages himself at the thought of your daughter dating when shes older ToT
he's definitely overprotective regardless but of the gender, but more in a "tell me everything and you'll never get in trouble" instead of a "you're grounded if you have a boyfriend/girlfriend" way
his parental bond really strikes him deep and he would really enjoy the baby stage, finds it fun with how easy babies can be entertained
don't think he'd want more than one kid tho
