hi! saw your reqs were open so wanted to ask,
hector x werewolf! reader? since i know (it was mentioned somewhere i think) that werewolves do exist within the universe of castlevania!
headcanons for how their daily life would be, since i imagine reader to be pretty engaged / enthusiastic with wildlife and he adores animals!
and if your up to more than just headcanons, maybe hector meeting them in the cells in styria?
don't feel pressured! i love your work, i wish hector had more fans and was enlightened to know you wrote for him lol!
Hector was unaware that werewolves existed in this way, as actual shapeshifters.
The wolves that Dracula kept were more mindless beasts then men. Adequate guard dogs to keep him and the other noble vampires safe during the day.
He didn’t know that they could change back into full human form. Nor that that form was so attractive.
[Y/N] tells Hector that he’s an idiot. A child not willing to look beyond his own self or past the cover of a book to see beyond. Their first meeting does not get off to a good start.
Over time, and in the cells, they come to a better understanding of one another.
They tell him the story of the werewolves. How most were taken in or simply abducted by vampires as the aforementioned guard dogs. Charmed into mindlessness not to change back.
The Styria Queens seem to think it’s more amusing that they have a ‘choice’. They can’t leave over threat of their kin and others in Styria. So they have to stay here and protect their capture.
When Hector is ‘freed’, sharing a similar lot to [Y/N], they spend their days together while he spends his nights with Lenore. Biding his time while he works on a path to free them.
Through great sacrifice they are eventually freed. [Y/N] can’t stand to stay in the palace after it is liberated by Isaac & Hector and chooses to leave.
Hector chooses to leave with them but offers his services and council to Isaac in his plan to build this new world. Which he accepts and lets them go.
They travel to the countryside. Far enough south that the winters aren’t as harsh but still northern enough where it’s not too warm.
They do travel to visit some of the remaining packs in the area, but none of them feel like home to [Y/N] anymore.
They take up in a small cottage with a farm, lots of animals, and a new forge. Though Hector only creates new life into their fallen, not nightcreatures.
[Y/N] spends most of their time outside. Breathing the air. Warming in the sun. They would spend both day & night outdoors happily, if it wasn’t for Hector.
They often take walks together. Enjoying the stillness and peace of the forest.
[Y/N] is now free to shift at will and will change to run around ahead of Hector or bound about when they are excited. Hector is envious of it.
Their larger wolf form is nice on those cooler nights, and Hectors likes to snuggle with them.
All in all, they live out the remainder of their lives in peace. Content and safe after all the struggle. Hector can’t say that the suffering was worth it, but he does not regret the path that brought him here.
