Do you mind talking about that Cass Kon art a little more? I like how Cass is staring at her body with furrowed brows that imply like she doesn’t get the big deal, it’s just a body. But i can’t fully pinpoint kons expression. he’s in shock but why? is it because it’s her? or is it more female nudity in general. Also at first glance kon looks like clark (lol) was that also a choice? he’s a clone sure but most often people tend to change him just a bit to avoid the mistake. It could just be your style. I don’t remember if you’ve drawn him often. It could also be on purpose, and if it is what for. Sorry, i like your art and you always have interesting thoughts
Cass and kon art is not very deep unfortunately. Really for Kon's expression I was intially going for a creepy smile but after thinking abit I thought it looked too malicious. I figure Kon's objectification of her is both a lack of tact and societally ingrained. The idea that a woman's naked body is an event, its shocking, its tantalising on its own. A woman's naked body is associated with sex. As violating as his gaze feels for Cass he doesnt mean anything by it he doesnt consider that it could be violating.
For Cass I dont think she wouldve grown up with all this fuss around naked females. For her, her body is another object, it's a weapon (thats why i gave her hand wraps), its a rock on the side of the road. Its a spectacle for what it can do not something to be admired in of itself. The only person really around growing up was her Dad who definitely didnt care for making her look attractive. I think meeting Kon would be like a formative moment for her teaching her to be ashamed of her body and the attention it nets.
Also Kon looks like Clark because I think it makes sense. Alot of people give him a tan because he lived in Hawaii and curlier hair and thats cool too. I'm not very creative I just go with whatevers on model usually.

Cass is terrifying, this is true. Cass is kind of a jerkass, this is also true. Let none of this distract you though. Never lose sight of the ultimate truth which is Cass is a hopelessly sweet living ball of concentrated sunshine who just wants everyone to be as happy and safe as possible regardless of the cost to her. Nobody in the world has a bigger heart than Batgirl.
Cass would rock at Viola/Violin. She def has the finger muscles for it and the coordination
I think she'd rock at almost any instrument she tried. She's got a super brain that gives her coordination beyond a normal person. The main thing she'd struggle with is the reading parts. She'd find learning all the chords to be a real bitch.

This song is very Cass to me
Well the lyrics are pretty dang spot on. Plus the mental image of Cass making scores of hardened killers wet themselves and flee in terror while having this in her ear the whole time does quite perfectly encapsulate the whole disconnect of how she is versus how she's seen. And also it's really funny.
The funny thing is I'm not much of a music person so a solid half of all the music I listen to comes from people telling me "this song super fits that character you like." The other half comes from videogame and/or anime soundtracks.
Do you think cass would ever learn an instrument? On one hand, she would want to prove herself better, on the other hand this doesn't really seem like the sort of thing that would peak her competitiveness. She seem to me like the sort of person who spends a week learning a song or two on an instrument before losing interest and moving on to another instrument to learn
I think she'd like playing an instrument (probably guitar) for reasons wholly unrelated to her competitiveness. Like the dancing I think she'd just find it stimulating and relaxing and god knows she could do with more of that in her life.
I don’t mean this in a mean way at all, but I feel like the autistic view of Cassandra fundamentally misses the mark. She’s disabled because of her upbringing, not because she was born like that.
I don't find the distinction relevant in the slightest.
Besides that though, David specficially mentions there was something very different about her right from the start that allowed his training to sink in for her where it failed horribly with every other kid he tried it on. So in as far as it matters at all, she was indeed born like that.
