Sister Carpenter for Wet Cat Wednesday of Podcast Girls Week!

Chapter 1 gives us this line when they’re on the rowboat looking for the river miracle. “…my Trawler-Man, my whisper in the night, my divine terror, who leaves me awake at 3 in the morning in each sodden hotel room, sweating and gasping, my eyes wide after each visit to his deep and drowning garden…”

This is such an intimate way to frame Carpenter’s visits from the Trawler-Man, and a way we never see him framed again. It was a deliberate choice to invoke the image of her “sweating and gasping” in a bed, almost like she was visited by a lover. I don’t think it was accidental either that the story of The Promised Bride also mentions the Bride being shown the Garden Below.

So um. Ep 19 has been buzzing in my mind and what better first time TSV fanart then Carp all bloody after killing six people :3
