If there's now asks that talk about a certain ship and you would make a story about it, how about you do a Carmipen blind date one? Even potentially going in into the blind thing about and having the gal's eyes being covered during the date itself.
Oooo, this is a cute concept!
So I can totally imagine Lacey and Amarys putting Carmine up to it, and of course they can't really do it anywhere other than in BB academy, so they lead her there with the blindfold on, sit her at a park bench and tell her to be quiet so neither her or her blind date would hear each other until the date started.
Of course, Carmine and Penny recognize each other immediately. Their accents are very distinct (Carmine's from a tiny town almost nobody knows, no way she doesn't have an accent or at least hides one) but Carmine decides "Well, it's probably better you keep your blindfold on. Don't want you falling for me too hard!" Which has Penny rolling her eyes.
Doesn't mean she abandons the date though. I'm sure they'd play up the whole blind aspect for comedic reasons, acting as if they aren't very aware of each other. Especially if the others keep jumping in to do stuff like bringing out food... Or completely redundant candles.
By the end of it, Penny asks the "mysterious stranger" if she had a good time despite the company... But Carmine, taking advantage of the blindfolds, decides to be genuine and say she had a nice time because of the fact she was there, shocking Penny. They keep the blindfolds on in order to be more bold and talk about how they feel.
In the end, the blind date is very much a success.
