It was Black Sapphire... Twice 🥹

So a little lore fact, tehnically they fell in love twice! The first time being before corruption. Sapph before turning evil was a very gentle soul... he confessed to her with a bouquet of white roses, a proposal custom that stuck with him from his days of living in the Faerie Kingdom.

When Fount turned to the ways of Deceit, the two were separated because the Beast abandoned his kingdom and dragged Black Sapphire + Candy Apple along with him into Spire (but later on he got sealed and yada yada).

Years later, they meet again for a second time in Beast-Yeast, now as their usual corrupted selves. The deceitlings were left all alone for a good while... atleast before the Silver Tree started to weaken, allowing Shadow Milk to communicate with Sapph telepathically andddd everything goes awfully wrong after that lowkey🫪 BUT ANYWAYS

unfortunately ive been going through a terrible art block so ill be using messy sketches/doodles to explain, apologies (⁠ ⁠；⁠∀⁠；⁠)

It all started back in the era of the Virtues, before corruption took place.

Black Sapphire was just another Faerie in the Silver Kingdom, training to become a loyal knight like all his peers. However, he was more outspoken than the others, and secretly wasn't very enthusiastic about following the Faerie lifestyle... Guarding the secrets of the Witches and staying far away from the outside world, and such.

The events that happen in the middle deserve their own post because my backstory for Sapph is extensive 😭 but long story short... Black Sapphire is forced to move into Fount's kingdom, alongside a little Cookie he took under his care. (Candy Apple, who was just called "Apple Hood" at the time)

Due to Sapph's natural intelligence and deep appreciation for wisdom, he becomes a secretary for the Fount at the (original) Blueberry Yogurt academy. In the promotion cerenomy, this is precisely where he meets Cheshire.

Cheshire Cookie, whose former name is Wafer Roll Cookie, was a magic tutor at the academy. She comes from a family of cat Cookies who have been serving the Fount for decades.

At first, she was very excited to meet him, because... A Faerie Cookie out in the wild is big news to everyone, atleast in the kingdom of Knowledge itself. And as a dedicated disciple of Fount, Cheshire was especially intrigued! As time passed by and they got to know eachother better, they formed a very sweet friendship, bonding over work and studies they had to do for the academy... and eventually outside of business too!
