A tiny metal Cardinal pocket keepsake. I purchased it at a store in Portland Airport as my family and I were traveling back from our Spring Break last week. We came home to a social-distancing mandate and school closure for 4 weeks. I never would have thought that the Coronavirus situation would go this bad 😔 I bought this cardinal token because of its cuteness. It has a nice weight to it in your hand. But then I discovered the meaning behind the bird. Traditionally, the Cardinal is symbolic of life, hope, and restoration. The bird’s appearance holds a reminder that though circumstances might look bleak, there is always HOPE. A timely message for all of us right now. I sincerely hope you all are well despite the awful situation hitting the whole world. This hard time will pass and we’ll get to the other side 💙
