20 years ago, at Connecticon 2006, I bought this Sakura plushie, and began the Cardcaptor Museum officially. What a journey it's been so far! Happy 30th Anniversary to Cardcaptor Sakura
SAKURA YOU ARE SO LOVED

Luc and Theo are the 7th-grade protagonists of the animated series Looped, trapped in a time loop originally triggered by a massive spill of "Loopy Loops" cereal. They share a fun parallel with Cardcaptorsâwhere a character inadvertently traps her own world in a localized "Loop Card" trapâand the real-world Froot Loops brand.Â
These three different threads tie together through the classic time-bending theme:
Looped (Series):Â Best friends Luc and Theo are stuck endlessly repeating the same Monday. Ironically, the time loop they are trapped in is powered by a malfunction involving their favorite breakfast cereal, Loopy Loops, which was invented by the town's founder, Wilt Doover.Â
Cardcaptors (The Loop Card):Â In this classic CLAMP magical girl series, "The Loop" is a mystical Clow Card that can manipulate space and bend a location until it folds in on itself, effectively creating a physical, circular trap that forces characters to repeat the same path or race track over and over.Â
Froot Loops Cereal: The iconic, toucan-mascotted, ring-shaped cereal shares the naming convention and a similar loop-the-loop shape to the magical card from Cardcaptors and the fictional Loopy Loops that started Luc and Theo's endless week.Â
When Cards Collide readers, got Sam Vincent to do another yue line!!
Note, it's after Hannah's death.

It's incredibly cool how these classic anime series feature faceless, living structures! In Yu-Gi-Oh!, both the Castle of Dark Illusions and Labyrinth Wall operate as massive, imposing monsters that alter the entire arena. Similarly, The Maze Clow Card in Cardcaptor Sakura creates a shifting, trap-filled structure without a face.
The Iconic Living Structures of Yu-Gi-Oh!
Both of these massive walls/castles act as more than just regular monsters:Â
Castle of Dark Illusions (Episode 14): PaniK plays this macabre, shadowy fortress to shroud the battlefield in complete darkness. It serves as a gigantic, faceless structure that fortifies his monsters and hides them from Yugi.
Labyrinth Wall (Episode 19): Dox summons this card to erupt the floor into a massive 9x9 living labyrinth. The wall acts as a giant, faceless game board that requires monsters to navigate through it before reaching the other side.Â
The Enigmatic Maze of Cardcaptor Sakura
The Maze Card (Episode 26): In this episode, titled "Sakura and the Wonderful Teacher", Sakura and Syaoran must escape an endless, ever-shifting labyrinth that Kaho Mizuki uses to test them. Like its Yu-Gi-Oh! counterparts, The Maze is a massive, towering, faceless structure that actively regenerates walls and changes its layout to confuse them.Â
