Happy Early Valentine's Day (Bread Edition)
I made a Plain PLUS a Strawberry and White Chocolate Sourdough loaf for my husband's work.
Is it because I love them for being a wonderful team to my husband so he never comes home upsetti spaghetti? Absolutely.
Is it also because I used them as my guinea pigs when I want to try something new? 100%
When making the dough, I had to follow different hydration recipes. To make the pink, I crushed up freeze-dried strawberries. But powdered fruit soaks up a LOT of water... hence the hydration discrepancy.
Kept in the fridge for two days. I tried to score hearts but uhhhh kinda hard to see XD Also, it got BIG. And my kitchen smelled divine.
I present the loaves in their baked glory!
Cut (and recorded) today, February 13, at 6am. LOOK AT HOW PRETTY THEY TURNED OUT!
Of course, ignore my cutting skills... I was heavy on the right side lol.
Anyway, enjoy a nice view of the marble for the Strawberry and White Chocolate loaf!

Drunken Fruitcake Tiramisu :) Instead of lady fingers, I used slices of Christmas fruit cake that I soaked in rum. I topped the tiramisu with dried fruit, walnuts, and cocoa powder.
