“Sometimes you need carbcats and surprise packages. But are they a surprise if you’re the one who ordered them?”

Probably not actually, not unless the package is very late and you forget it even existed. I actually had been waiting for this package from @celesse shop the Sugar Bunny Shop because one of the items (the recipe cards) are for my mother for Mother’s Day. My mom had taken up baking during Covid and I’ve always known that she modifies recipes she finds online.

Primarily because most recipes are too sweet for my family’s palate. I happened to have noticed one day when I was over that she had re-written one of the recipes on the back of a scrap piece of paper. So I hope she will get use out of these recipe cards. If nothing else, she will think they’re really cute. My mom does like cats (though does not own a cat herself, Sherlock the cat is her grandbaby) and one of the first things she ever baked was the melon bun, though my family calls them pineapple buns. However, like melon buns, they are not made with pineapples nor do they taste like pineapples. 

For myself, I bought two nyanpan plushies which are now going to be permanently on the desk. Hopefully Sherlock won’t mind sharing desk space with plush carbcats. Originally I was going to keep them in the packaging because I love the nutritional label, but the package wasn’t as clean/clear as I thought it would be.

So instead, I scrapbooked it into my bullet journal, along with the thank you card the package came with. The card wouldn’t quite fit, so I cut out the image of the two cute nyanpans so I could glue it into the journal. I got impatient on the second sentence so the writing isn’t as neat as the first sentence, but that’s fine. I used a fine tip for this because I knew I wasn’t going to have a lot of room to write so I wasn’t going to use a brush pen for this.
