Today, I had to clean the catalytic converter of my #glamping #toilet.

The alert was a blinking yellow light, the same as if there is no gas. It was the first time since 2022, that I had to clean it. Maybe a overall use of 1200 uses.

More #glamping problems. The wastewater is not draining. So I turned the lever that it directly flows out without flowing in the wastewater tank. Behind it is a

* KLD20S

* 12V DC

* DN20

* 2-way motorized ball valve.

And it seems that it is not working any more.

I need a replacement. And like always, the place where it is put, is barely accessible.

The opening mechanism of my dometic freezer didn‘t work any more: normally one pushes a button upwards and the dark long pin pushes a small white bar inside against a metal pin, which has to be pushed down (last pic, pin in red circle).

Solution:

1) Slide open the cover to the right.

2) Open the mechanism which is covered with a black tape.

3) + 4) Cut free and open the white plastic box and find the metal pin at the bottom of the box.

5) Pressing the pin down opens the door to the freezer.

Sadly I cut too far upwards in the beginning for I didn‘t know where to look for the mechanism. (3)

Of course, this can‘t be the usual way to open the freezer. I‘ll replace the hook with a magnetic closing.

Not a task for beginners to change the gas if:

a) the lock is frozen

b) the handle is frozen and won‘t turn

c) the hole cover for the front comparent is frozen and one can‘t lift it

This can be solved with a plastic bag full of hot water (ca. 0,5 l). Move it around over lock and handle and finally gently over the whole frozen gap of the compartment cover. Easy. This does the trick.
