@caracarnn is still affected by the Awkward Exes(tm) curse, alas He had been watching him moving about the apartment closely, concern fluttering through him at the apparent illness that seemed to be affecting him. He didn't say anything because he wasn't quite sure if it was actually his place or not. The last straw, however, was when Itachi seemed to sway once he got to fixing things in the kitchen. Rand, immediately, rose from where he'd been sitting and got him in his arms before he could. Light, he wasn't sure what sort of flu it was but it was pretty bad, he was even sure he had a fever. "I've got you." He told him as he lifted him off of the ground and carried him straight to Rand's own room. He wasn't sure if he'd mind that but it wasn't at the forefront of his mind, at least for now.

ㅤIt was... really hard to not make things awkward when your own body decided to act against you more often than not. And he'd not even been doing anything that taxing, simply dusting off the bookshelves and now getting ready to pull the dishes out of the washer and put them in place. Nothing out of the ordinary, right? Problem was, when your blood vessels couldn't be trusted to begin with and it was summer time on top of it, random and sudden crashes in blood pressure were par for the course. Like right now.

ㅤThankfully, Itachi still had the presence of mind to clumsily place down the pile of dishes on top of the nearest counter; the last thing he needed was to drop them all and then fall over on top of the shards. Just when he was already bracing himself for that faceplant, however... what he found, instead of the hard kitchen floor, was... soft arms...? A soft whole other body, in general...?

ㅤCurrently feeling so lightheaded that he couldn't tell if this was real or if he'd already given himself a concussion and was dreaming the whole thing, he let his eyes fall shut for a moment - and, next thing he knew, when reopening them, he was now lying down. With Rand's concerned face staring right at him. Whether it'd been a minute or an hour, he also couldn't tell. What he could well imagine, however, were the causes leading to the present state of affairs - hence, the sheepish look on his still pale face as he pursed his lips.

The sun hung low as Julianna stood waiting, the breeze tugging at her gown. She hadn’t seen Rand in years, and though her heart quickened, she knew this meeting wasn’t simple. When he finally appeared, her breath caught. Rand.

"Rand," she greeted softly, offering a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes. "You came." She forced herself to meet his gaze, the past rushing back to her. Duty, betrothal, and the reality of her life stood like walls between them. But the connection, the pull, was still there. "I hope the journey wasn’t too difficult," she added, the words almost a formality.
