Hoping something pretty will lift your spirits today; I know mine need it! Trying to remain grateful for all that I have been blessed with (which is a lot!), but allowing myself grace to feel the range of emotions that come with quarantine, loss, and uncertainty. I’ve heard that this time is a gift and we should use it to learn something new; to create and grow. Some days I am in full agreement! I also heard that we should not put pressure ourselves over using this time “wisely” because it’s ok if we are just muddling through. Today I’m thankful for that truth. Maybe tomorrow I’ll download that app and learn Spanish. Today it’s mediation. And that’s ok. Looking forward to the day when events and gatherings are once again the norm, and hoping they always feel extra special when this is over. Quarantine and social distancing has given me so much appreciation for celebrating things together, especially today on my son’s 16th birthday.
