@carrinth made art about Kanan: The Last Padawan with their headcannon that Kanan is colour blind because some of the clones have different coloured armour throughout the comic (and normally we see clones in a battalion have uniform colours). Although I really like their headcannon, this made me go back to reread the comic and I found that it actually isn’t true.
Throughout the comic, we do see clones in red painted armour, especially Commander Grey and Captain Styles.
Kanan: The Last Padawan #1 (2015)
It wouldn’t make sense to say that when it’s in Caleb (Kanan)’s perspective they’re red and everyone else is green, because the whole comic is in his perspective. He is inner monologuing the whole time.
Other clones, we see, have green armour (like Corporal Big-Mouth and Stance), or none because they are a shiney.
Kanan: The Last Padawan #9 (2015)
Plus, it wouldn’t make sense why in the same panel Caleb would see the clones armour in different colours (which proves the different perspectives theory because you can’t show two perspectives within the same panel like that).
It was explained that Master Depa Billaba had just been in a come for months following a confrontation with General Greivous where she lost her whole battalion, with the exception of approximately 4-5 clones (this includes Commander Grey and Captain Styles). The rest of her battalion would have to have their ranks filled by either shineys, or by men from another battalion that possibly got reduced greatly in size or was dissolved. Therefore it would make sense why some clones have different coloured armour within the same battalion.
Not to say I don't like the headcannon, I think it hold a lot of humour, only it raised a good question and this is what I found.
