No Oliver nor Edward in this chapter:
I think it's cool that PB is for once giving the LIs balanced screen time in a book. Last chapter we had scenes with Oliver and Edward and no Charlie, this chapter we had scenes with Charlie and no Oliver nor Edward, as you can see, it's a fair distribution and I applaud that. This is how PB should distribute screen time with the LIs in all books. For once there's no forced white male LI and I'm grateful for that.
In fact, Distant Shores is the only book that is not centered around a white male LI (and no, Edward doesn't count because his race is customizable and also the Edward in the cover is latino Edward, a POC, which is unusual because PB generally shows the white version on the covers) besides Edward and Charlie's screen time and diamond scenes are balanced too. For once they're giving the LIs balanced treatment AND SPECIALLY FOR ONCE PB IS NOT FAVORING THE WHITE MALE LI and tbh I can only hope they keep it that way and implement it in all books from now on.
