Taking their queue from jazz ensemble free improvisation rather than the structured sounds of late 60s pop, this is a wonderfully inventive casserole of psychedelic jazz-rock. This may in part be due to an unusual line up of drums (courtesy of the incredibly talented Robert Wyatt), driving bass by Kevin Ayers and Mike Ratledge on twiddly fuzzy organ.
