I also drew Moon for the very first time, marvelling at the tender moment shared between the two~🫶🏻🌛

Alright so now that I've given myself a second to process, it's time to start getting some of the angst out of my system.

Canon Compliant!Amour just exists to suffer in ep 9 tbh.

I LOVE THEM SM UR HONOR

I couldnt decide which expression I liked more for Jax here so I did both as like a "comic panel" thing. First pic is Jax letting the mask slip for a second and being genuinely happy while Amour gives him cuddles and affection, only to realize what's happening and immediately look away so he can tamp it back down.

My thought with them is that Amour and Jax actually dated at one point before Pomni popped into the circus (before the show's events basically), prob shortly after Amour arrived. Something that started shortly after Amour arrived bc Jax was bored and thought that Amour was cute enough to tolerate having some fun with for a minute. And while she wasn't into him at all at the time, she agreed for...basically the same reasons pfft. They're stuck here anyway and she's kinda strapped for options so why not just let loose and do smth stupid, even if Jax isn't exactly her type lol. Nothing they expected to take seriously by any stretch. Just smth dumb to pass the time. Kinda friends with benefits/fake relationship ig, at least as much as Caine would allow.

That is, until it turned out they actually got along pretty well?? She's actually pretty cool and funny and sweet?? And she can actually manage to keep him in line in this hot, bitchy way he had no clue he'd be into?? And next thing she knows she's actually settling into it too and starts calling him cute pet-names and being more open with affection and bringing him treats and rewarding him with kisses when he behaves and pulling his ear and threatening to withdraw his affection privileges when he doesn't bc she picked up on how touch starved he is and is unafraid to use that against him. She's genuinely trying and is so sincere, and now she's making him feel things??? Like- REAL THINGS??? WAIT- NO THIS WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. SH!T.

Amour wasn't expecting to genuinely love him either but she accepts it and owns it wholeheartedly, perhaps even finding some romantic, whimsical glimpse of hope in it. Meanwhile, knowing Jax, it goes just about as well as you'd think it would. Bc being vulnerable and having genuine emotions towards anyone is scary.

Cue panic and immediate self-sabotage.

So he ended up going from her chill bf to pushing her away; withdrawing from any affection she gave, suddenly acting colder and more distant towards her for seemingly no reason and then pretending everything was fine when she asked, and also excessive antagonizing and teasing that was once playful and fun for her to downright hurtful. They started to fight all the time, bc Amour wasn't willing to just sit there and take that crap without knowing why and talking about it, only for Jax to point out that they both agreed that it wasnt real and that it wasn't serious when LIKE YEAH SURE THAT'S WHAT THEY INITIALLY AGREED TO BUT THEY BOTH KNOW DAMN WELL THAT'S BS NOW, often leaving her storming back to her room or to the others in tears, wondering what the hell she was doing wrong and hating herself for even doing this in the first place (Zooble told her not to but she didn't listen ofc.) And even though she really did care about him, eventually she decided she just couldn't carry whatever the hell was going on with him anymore and broke the whole thing off.

He ofc makes total light of it now and pretends he's totally fine and over it and that it was just some dumb fling. But the feelings are still there, nagging, regardless of whether or not he is willing to admit it to himself or anyone else. Meanwhile Amour seems to have come out of it smelling like a rose and all the pettier because of it.

IT'S REALLY SAD AND TRAGIC AND DRAMATIC BUT I'M EATING IT UP MAN.

Have this lil thingy of them during what one could probably consider the "good times" before everything went fully down the drain. Maybe when the withdrawing first started? Idk.

EP 9 is going to wreck me man I just know it. I'm scared and not ready.
