The things nobody tells you about making a canna-gram account (account on IG thats main focus is Cannabis content), a blog by @kt204-420
1. Expect your shit to get taken down/deleted/removed at any time for any reason that Instagram feels necessary.
2. Donβt bother trying to figure out what you did wrong, and there is no point in contacting IG for further info either. They wonβt get back to you or give you any answer other than βyour post violates the community guidelinesβ
3. Your account is at risk of being deleted all the damn time. Pro tip: account settings - download data (to email you a copy of all your content thatβs been posted, so at least not all your hard work and pictures are gone forever)
4. Oh youβre a legal business operating in a jurisdiction that cannabis is legal? IG doesnβt care. They will delete your account for *operating as a legal business* WTAF?!?!? I pay HELLA taxes to our government that heavily regulates the entire industry, and my BUSINESS isnβt allowed to exist in a space on your platform?
5. The canna-gram community is AMAZING. Ensure you have contact info for your best buds outside of IG in case your account gets disabled and you lose your only way of communicating with them :(
5b. Or make a back up account so that you donβt completely lose your following & friends contact info via the gram.
6. Even if you are using cannabis medically (VIA A PRESCRIPTION) donβt expect special treatment. Your medicine is classified the same as opium, cocaine and heroin according to IGβs terms & conditions.
7. Censorship fucking sucks. The stigma surrounding cannabis needs to end.
