Once Thomas trusts and accepts you, his loyalty is unwavering. He would never change his mind, never betray you, and you would be the center of his universe.

With his physical stature and reputation, no one in Texas (or the world) would dare lay a finger on you. He would act as a human shield and eliminate any physical threat to your safety without a second thought.

Thomas doesn't know how to manipulate, lie, or play emotional games. If he's near you, handing you an object he made himself in the workshop, the feeling is 100% genuine. It's raw love, but without falsehood.

Behind that intimidating facade, he is someone deeply needy who has never received true love. In private, he would be extremely receptive to your affection, allowing you to take care of him, which creates a very deep connection of vulnerability.

He has incredible manual skills in the workshop and in the slaughterhouse. If you need something fixed, built, or brute force for any task, he'll solve the problem immediately.

If Thomas loves you, the Hewitt family (even with all their eccentricities) would eventually adopt you as one of their own to keep Thomas focused and happy. You would gain "untouchable status" in the house.

Forget normal dates, movie outings, dinners at restaurants, or introducing him to your friends. The courtship would be lived entirely in the isolated Hewitt mansion or the deserted surroundings. You would have to give up your outside social life.

His latent fear of being rejected or abandoned can turn into dangerous jealousy. He may refuse to let you leave his side, making the relationship a kind of "gilded cage."

Since he doesn't speak, you'll spend a lot of time trying to guess what he's feeling or if he's about to have a fit of rage. It requires enormous psychological patience to read his grunts and body language.

Thomas suffers from severe trauma and psychotic episodes. If he misinterprets any of your actions or feels under extreme pressure, the environment can become dangerous in the blink of an eye. Living with him is like constantly walking on eggshells.

The Hewitt house is the opposite of a romantic and clean environment. The constant smell of meat, blood, rust, and the stifling heat of Texas would be your daily reality. Furthermore, the human skin masks he wears aren't exactly hygienic.

Even if they accept you, you would have to witness and tolerate Sheriff Hoyt's madness and crimes, and the sadism of the rest of the family. You would become complicit in their lifestyle, whether you wanted to or not.

You would be the only therapist, healer, and safe haven for a giant man who carries a lifetime of abuse and mutilation. This "savior" role consumes a lot of psychological energy.
