IKR?If those people had their way, Alec would move in with M@gnus today, they’d adopt M@dzie and he’d be a stay-at-home-dad at the age of 23. Forever living with the only guy he’s ever had a chance of trying out that entire “relationship” thing with, and whom he met like 6 weeks ago. He’d never leave the appartment ever again on his own and only ever interact with M@gnus. He’d probably get visits from Izzy (cause she’s like, The M@lec Cheerleader™. Or Luke, cause he’s not threatening. But god forbid he’d ever so much as incline his head in the general direction of Jace’s whereabouts ever again.But sure, let’s wrap it all up in “Jace is a horrible friend and parabatai that’s why it should be Izzy instead” cause that sounds nicer.

I mean I could literally make “XY is a shitty person and here’s why” gifsets for EVERY character on that show (and now just imagine for one second if I did that with M@gnus and put that in the tag. I’d probably get death threats within the hour.) but like. Why? Why the need to shit on one character just to make another one look better? Like, what are people getting out of this?

Anyhow, everyone is entitled to their opinions, no matter how much I personally might think it’s a stupid opinion, and I don’t give a crap what they post on their blogs. Usually I just scroll past. But putting stuff like that in the character tag is a fucking asshole move. That’s literally the one thing I’m really taking issue with.

like i’ve gotten to the point where i don’t look for femslash on certain pairings and only take recs from people i trust, even pairings that i really love and are OTPs, because i have seen so many hurtful things. even when woc are included it is often in ways that make me deeply uncomfortable (swan queen is really bad for this)

i say this a lot but at the end of the day, i just want characters of color to be treated w respect and dignity in fanfic, and that they too frequently aren’t is a problem across the spectrum whether we’re talking dudeslash, femslash, het, or even gen
