🕯White candles are universal

If a spell calls for a pink candle and explains why they want pink to be used, you can grab your white candle and adorn it to meet your intentions.

"How may I adorn it?" you may ask.

Sigils, oils, incense, herbs, and so much more! Hell, I've drawn a plain old smiley face in the wax to meet my needs before.

🕯Never underestimate old wax

I spoke about adorning your candle above. If you have old candles that can't burn any longer, melt some of the wax and dress your new candle with it. If you desperately want the color, this is a great way to turn a plain, white candle into the green or blue candle your spell/ritual calls for.

🕯Never throw out used candles if there is still wax

If you're like me, you probably have a whole mess of jars filled with 1/8th or less wax left that just will not burn because there is not enough wick left. Don't throw them out. Instead, fill them to the top with boiling water and wait. The water will melt the wax which will float to the top. When it is cooled, you just pop the wax off the top. This wax can then be used

Alright so you’ve lit 500 candles for a spell and of course they all burn at different rates depending on the type of wax/holder/wind direction.

Instead of replenishing the candles with new ones it’s super easy to create ones out of wasted wax.

1. Candle wax melts at a pretty low temperature so with a little patience and access to a sunny porch, you can melt the wax without using a stove.

2. You can make your own wicks with yarn and wax but they’re pretty cheap on Amazon & Wish.

3. You can create a double boiler with a tin can and a pot. Just keep an eye on the tin can to make sure it doesn’t tip over. Getting wax off a non stick/pot or pan is annoying

The Secret to Buying Candles Online

Buying candles in store can prove to be challenging enough, discovering your favourite scent by smelling countless amounts of candles and finding the ones that will aesthetically match the interior of your house. But with the added element of buying online without opportunities to see or smell them in person, the challenge is then developed into somewhat of a stressful task.

Before you throw away that empty candle jar, realize there are a million things you can do with it! We will start posting weekly green tips for ideas of things you can do with your empty candle jars.

First and foremost you want to start with a clean jar. Since our wax is soft, you can easily remove any remaining wax by scooping it out with paper towel. Next with soap, water and sponge you can clean out an remaining wax residue. If the wick tab does not easily remove in the cleaning process, try adding some warm water and letting it soak for about 10 minutes. Now you're ready to go!
