Moon's betrayal vs Lilith's betrayal
I remember when the last episodes of svtfoe came out, Everyone in the fandon was furious at Moon, she followed what she thought was the right choice but backfired stupendously , (hence the immediate betrayal of Mina, rendering Moon power less). And there wasnt a lot of hate after that, maybe cuz its the last episode and no one wanted to bring the hate into the ending or smth. (Tho, she did genuinly Apologize to Star and gets that she made a mistake)
But for AOAW, man, thats some messed up sibling rivalry.
Lily's betrayal is... unforgivable, i mean, come on, putting a curse on your own sister just because she's better than you at everything? Thats just brutal, sure Eda might've been prideful and powerful, but she's your sister!
(Hence the petition and hundreds of tags involving "cancelling lilith", "f@ck Lilith" etc)
I get the jealously of being weaker than your younger sibling, Eda didnt even hide it and admitted she IS better than her at everything. But through out the series, we see how Eda actually cared for her sister, saving her on their unplanned adventure, giving her a ring for the emperor's demand.
We might be able to get the full picture in the next episode, but i doubt the hate for Lily would subside after the season finale.
So whats the difference between Moon and Lily? Moon had trust issues with Eclipsa, she was also tested on her loyalty to the Kingdom by Mina, which lead her thinking she was doing whats best for her and the humans. Lily however, didnt betrayed Eda for "the greater good", she did it because she was jealous and couldnt Stand her sister being better than her, hence the rivalry between the two grew.
