I love Peggy’s Cove because it reminds me of my family’s visits to Nova Scotia to see my mother’s side of the family. I remember climbing over the rocks and discovering the huge vertebrae of a whale, (that was in the early sixties when whaling was ending). The village is also a wonderful reminder, along with towns like Lunenburg, of seaports and fishing villages that have existed for two centuries. Nova Scotia means New Scotland in Latin and their are reminders everywhere of that connection. There are multiple tartans including tartans to represent each province. There are Bagpipers everywhere there are tourists but there are also traditional festivals with Pipe Bands, Scottish sports and lots of good fun. The Nova Scotia flag is the inverse of the Scottish flag and includes the Scottish coat of Arms. #CanadaDay #CanadaDay2020 #HappyCanadaDay #NovaScotiaCanada #PeggysCove #PeggysCoveLighthouse #PeggysCoveNovaScotia #NovaScotia #Canada https://www.instagram.com/p/CQy9P6RLk9Z/?utm_medium=tumblr
