hi! I just finished owl house for the first time and am now delightedly reading through your liveblogs ^_^ I was wondering though, I noticed for episodes 1.7 and 1.8 that the frequency of your posts drops off *dramatically* in the second half of the episode. This isn't a complaint—all your liveblog content is a gift! But I just wanted to confirm this is an actual thing and not just tumblr being weird and omitting stuff (because I will go hunting for the rest of those liveblogs if so XD)
Generally I find I have less to say in the second half of the episodes. Once the story dominos have been set up and start falling over, there sometimes just isn’t anything new being added.
That being said, I did check myself and I do seem to say strangely little for those two. Not sure if Tumblr nonsense is involved. Don’t recall what would go there if anything.
Have some ramblings:
Lost in Language
Luz’s brain gets 404 errored at Ed&Em’s teasing and is so cute.
I don’t like that Ed&Em were being dicks this episode by trying to steal Amity’s diary. I enjoy when the “cool” kids in a show aren’t just bullies and are actually wholesome people that others like because they actually are chill and fun. They come around later at least.
Luz: comes to rescue Amity then immediately gets captured
Good thing Otabin hasn’t achieved old-granny-level mastery of sewing or Luz and Amity be screwed.
Brave Azura ran away. She bravely ran away away…
I started jokingly shipping Lumity after episode 5 when Amity got way closer than necessary to initiate the everlasting oath, but after the book exchange the ship is real.
Once Upon a Swap
Dottie: You have to wear this bee costume. Eda: Fuck this shit I’m out.
We can’t let King become a teen. He legally cannot swear.
Luz can’t walk in heels because she’s only ever worn her baby-bi Vans.
The body swap spell never comes up again after this episode and that’s probably a good thing. Eda’s curse has less impact if she could swap it to someone else. Also Belos would probably find some way to be evil with it.
