HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY, @iloveundertaesooomuch!!!

His birthday was actually a short while ago (don't worry... I finished this in time... lol.), but I hesitated on posting this to Tumblr because I wasn't sure if he would be OK with that.

I decided to make a piece based on their "Our Love is God" AU, wherein Philip & Caleb switch places... as well as Camila taking Evelyn's place. It's such a charming AU; if anyone reading hasn't heard of it they should definitely check it out on their blog.

Phillip decided to go to the store and Camila was unsure if he could do it alone, but he convinced her that everything would be fine. Luz was sure that Belos was up to something and convinced Gus to go follow him.

Camila was surprised when she saw that the children were not just sitting in the living room watching TV, but watching the broadcast from Luz's phone, which she gave to Gus.

At first, everything was fine, but then Camila noticed that several women were looking at Phillip, and these women were her colleagues from the clinic. So Camila got very nervous when they approached Phillip. They recognized him because Camila had talked about him, and her colleagues were impressed that such a gentleman lived with Camila, so it made sense that they would want to meet Phillip. But Camila did not expect that this meeting would be accidental and she would not attend it. Fortunately, the conversation was quite normal and Camila had already calmed down, but then her colleagues asked about Luz. They knew that the camp had a positive effect on her, but they were curious what she thought of the man living in her house, especially considering her love of witches and the fact that Phillip is the full namesake of the famous witch hunter.

And then this scene follows

- You won't believe it, but she didn't know anything about him before we met. I think she doesn't like me because she thinks that I'm not just grateful to Camila for her help, but also have some plans about dating her - Phillip says with a smile, and Luz frowns at those words.

- Do you? - It's a pretty logical question that everyone in the living room focuses on to hear the exact answer.

- Hm… I think Camila is a wonderful woman, but I think her heart is still taken, and I respect that. But... who knows? - And then he winks, Camilla's colleagues laugh, Camila blushes, and Luz is very angry.

Yes, I will say again that the idea is very old and I have slightly rephrased the ending. And something else has been added. No one knows, but Phillip knew he was being watched. He could feel Gus's magic, hear the beating of his heart, and the Titan himself was laughing and commenting on what was happening in the living room. Phillip just decided to make a joke, also creating an excuse for why Luz doesn't like him. At that moment, he just feels sympathy for Camila

I drew the response to your second question first, so I am going to answer with it first! But dont worry! I will have a post explaining Camila situation too and I will tag you in it so you wont miss it!

Luz is Camila's and Philip's dauther in this AU! And Vee is a friendly basilisk neighbour, teehee.

I didn't want to change Luz's design too much so she would still be recognisable as herself. But it would be weird to leave her completely the same, knowing that she has a completely different parent in this AU. So, I decided that Luz has inherited most of her looks from mom and just a little from her dad. That's why I made her eyes sky-blue, while the rest of the face is the same. It was easiest part to change to show relation to Philip. And, Luz being Belos's dauther explains why she grows up to be skinny, tall and somewhat lanky, unlike Camila.

Now, about Vee. I think during this time period, Dedwardian Era, Basilisk weren't extinct yet. Endangered more likely. But basilisks are still in the wild, trying their best to survive! Its difficult, because people actively hunt them down and their sourses of food are extremely limited (witches and demons were part of basilisk diet before, but the tables have been turned not in their favour). And thats where Nocedas come up!

As hermits, both Camila and Philip are very close to nature of the Isles and protect it how they can. This includes basilisks. Camila and Philip help them survive, providing protection and food too. But that works as a mutual alliance between the Noceda family and the remaining basilisk pack. The help ends up going both ways with both sides caring for one another.

Which leads to both side being able to trust each other with their kids! So, Luz and Vee grow up to be close childhood friends!

Also, it is obvious that Vee has her own parents now, alive and well. And probably siblings.

Funny that Luz ends up feeling more kinship with basilisks than fellow witch kids, because she only ever socialised with the former since she was a baby. She isn't feral, of course, since she has witch and human parents who raise and educate her properly, even if outside the societal norms. But it does end up make Luz feel pretty isolated from her peers, unable to understand them and fully connect as an equal.
