You know what, Bryce!!! I have never thought about what happened to Thomas and Mitchell’s scrapbook until this very moment and I want to scream!!!

There’s NO WAY Buck would have let that scrapbook be forgotten about. I bet he took it back with him to Chimney’s place (roomies!) and tried to do some research on his phone to see if either man had extended family he could offer it to. Then, when nothing came up, Buck laid out all the photos on a table and used the clues on the pages to piece it back together.

I’m absolutely in love with this idea. Especially because this season has been so heavy, this would make a perfect lighthearted reprieve.

I was hoping the crossover would be something like the two stations (and others) at some firefighting conference engaging in hijinxs.

I also think it would be funny if people avoided the 118/the core group because they think it’s cursed. I mean Chim was impaled with rebar and stabbed multiple times, Hen got was exposed to an unknown chemical agent, Bobby got exposed to radiation, Buck got crushed under a fire truck and, Eddie got shot…so much bad juju.

It would be so funny if they think they’re hot shit and everyone else just thinks it’s a disaster squad.

And the people who actually like being at the 118 are so jealous of Ravi who’s managed to break into the cool kids club.

Biggest challenge for me as a gay man I guess is internal: I am bad at socialising in general; I’ve gotten worse since my 20s and really have to fight feeling inadequate in social settings. It is to the point where a lot of people have now written me off possibly because they don’t think I’m “carrying my weight”.

Biggest challenge as a black man (in the US) is easy: having my heritage erased because people here only see colour. I’m a first-generation American; neither of my parents were born or raised in the US whatsoever and the majority of my family wasn’t either. So being a hyphen-American doesn’t work. Oddly it isn’t just white Americans who erase, but it’s almost a universal. (Side note: if I were Canadian or British, this element wouldn’t exist as strongly, I firmly believe.)

Intersectionality as a thing, being both gay and black is one that is described at length on tumblr. Thankfully my experience hasn’t been *as* bad as others, but again it’s the being social aspect that tilts it in my favour. I will say that the polarities exist in a lot of cases, either I’m invisible or I’m a fetish; I notice it a lot in the likes and reblogs of a few (not many, but it’s there).
