character references for Call Home, a fictional video game concept I'm making for class
You play as Castle, a bored 19 year old who wants nothing more than to ditch his deadbeat hometown, but no matter how hard he tries, something keeps him from leaving.
After going through the motions day in and day out, you meet Ghost on a casual 2am walk around town.
You finally get some excitement in your life as you help Ghost figure out how she died by looking for clues, revisiting hazy memories, and meeting her past friends. (and making new ones!)
The more you explore, the more you see yourself in your new floaty friend, and the more you begin to question if maybe, your meeting wasn't luck of the draw.
(What they player doesn't know is that you are working towards breaking a time loop, and that Castle wanting to leave is an analogy for death. By helping Ghost find more about her past, the more friends you make, and the more reasons you find to enjoy life, and, if you make the right choices, you'll break the time loop and prevent Castle from becoming the next Ghost, doomed to repeat the cycle)

Calling Home. CC and are OK! Appreciating pings and hollers from a far. Despite smoke and ash, all is relatively OK in Eugene, OR. Fires are about 20 miles away. Hazardous air quality keeps us inside with a new indoor air purifier. So, Camille has been enjoying the "Lucifer" series on Netflix, as I prepare project for @uoregondesign design research studio. Experiencing a wild welcome to the west. ... 🙏🙏#callhome #designresearch #wildfire #diagram #paging143 (at Eugene, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFD6ddAspDe/?igshid=v21k2uesle00
Finally finished our coast to coast with final leg to Pacific Ocean. Lots of massive driftwood and rhodowood to love. Also, Caught our first Forest Fire on drive back to Eugene on RT126. ‘Twas scary....but now think an LA studio course on wildfire landscapes would be timely. #forest #wildfire #callhome (at Whiteaker) https://www.instagram.com/p/CEiS5BZpdwT/?igshid=nif5wlgsne7e
