Favorite Moments: Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica We just can’t seen to get enough of this magical location. Costa Rica has many! What makes it special to us is brown people, connection & raw nature! Other beaches in Costa Rica have been raped by resorts and attract corporations that follow.

When we are here, it feels like “home”. As Southern people, we value family and community. So we love hearing people call out our name on our return or greeting familiar faces with a kiss and a hug. The Expat community here are diverse, different, more humble and spiritually aware.

Why aren’t we there? It’s a real jungle. Living there with the intense, days of pouring rain is the other side of beauty. All magic has a dark side. It’s natural and essential to anything worth its weight in salt. Speaking of which, the mold and breakdown of electronics and anything valuable due to the moisture is NOT a game. One has to be ready for AUTOMATIC purfication for an extended life in this special place.

When I announced to my friends and family that we were moving to Central America, you can imagine the questions, the concern and the adjustment. The average person does not understand being “called” to anything except “the ministry”. Well, I received that call too. However, my entire life has been a journey of answering one call, only to beget another. This "call" to Costa Rica was no different. A place I had not been until I arrived in October 2014 called to me 2 years prior. I have witnesses of my prayers and downloads, that I allowed to come to pass in it’s due season.

This page is intended to capture meaningful moments on this journey that are still revealing itself to me and my shamanic love partner. I don’t call him husband much because that seems so limited. However, most of my sharing will be about my own revelations, adventure, observations and healing. I intend to continuously answer, “Why Costa Rica?”, as she speaks to me and expands me primarily. 

I already have so much to tell you! The journey began with saying, YES and supporting that yes with INSPIRED ACTION. I sold most of my possessions, purged my attachments to “things” and downsized as best as I could to signal The Universe of my surrender. That alone is a blog entry. We were Called to Costa Rica for Spirit, by Spirit and in Spirit because we are spiritual beings having a human experience - less we forget. Everyday here, I am reminded and for this I am grateful.
