Instead of just chewing and spitting as you can see Aaron Boone doing in the second photo, Boone finally talks to the home plate umpire about his really obvious and bad calls during Oswald Peraza's at bat...

Once again, it's time to play You Make the Call...

You can see the Blue Jay's pitcher, Chris Bassitt, standing still on the mound when the pitch clock hits zero. Then, after it hits zero, he steps off. Although they shouldn't have, they give it to him, but it was a pitch violation if you look at where he was and where the clock was... He stepped off too late... He has already gotten a balk a couple of pitches before this violation so we know that he's struggling to pitch before the clock hits zero already...

The very next pitch, the exact same thing happens... Bassitt is standing still on the mound after the pitch clock hits zero... the umpire is calling it ball four, but then Bassett steps off, saying it's his second step off, and the umpire goes with that instead of sticking to his original and correct call of ball four. The first time annoyed me, but the second time really pissed me off. He made 3 pitch violations. Two in a row, and he was only called out for one balk. Peraza should be on first and a new batter at the plate, but instead, they allow him to pitch again and get the last strike to end the inning. The umpires have been making sooooooo many horrible calls against the Yankees recently. It's wrong, and it's unfair, and it needs to stop NOW!! Unfortunately, Aaron Boone waited to long and it was too late by the time Aaron Boone said something to correct the errors and put Peraza on first. It's ridiculous. The pictures clearly show that Bassett was standing still on the mound when the clock hit zero twice, but no one fixed it. It's hard to watch these continual bad calls against my boys go unchecked. What is it gonna take to make things right? I don't know, but I do know that these calls go in favor of our opponents most of the time and go against us way too much of the time. Thanks... I needed to get that out.
