Caleb never had a male influence in his life when he was growing up. It's not like the scientists at the lab count. And after that he lived alone in a house with only Mc and Gran for years.
So, when he was young, Caleb only had women in his life. He's probably grateful for it. It means he learned how to be attentive to a woman's needs super early on.
Caleb is one of the girls. He stays in your room during slumber parties, sits still while his nails got painted, and is a little too engaged in any sort of gossip being passed around by your friends.
Caleb was the only boy in his sex education class that didn't chuckle or try to crack a joke when vaginal health was discussed. He was locked in. Taking notes and making mental reminders during the sections about menstruation.
And, yes, he knows every princess movie you watched growing up by heart. Never complained when he had to listen to the same girly songs every day once you found a new favorite to watch.
He still has those silly, childish songs sectioned off in their own playlist. After the explosion, when he was unable to see you, he'd lay down, staring at the ceiling while listening to those songs. Reminiscing about the good days during the lowest point of his life.
Also, Caleb was such a positive male role model for a lot of boys at his school. Nobody could tease him for acting too feminine, wearing pink, or letting Mc decorate his nails however she wanted.
Because while Caleb wasn't afraid to be feminine, he could also break your nose with a single hit. Who's gonna pick on that guy? It allows all the young men around him to begin healing from the toxic masculinity mindset they were raised with.
