The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY) will be hosting FREE Youth Conference on April 25th and 26th in CUNY Law School in New York City for High School and early college aged students!

It is sad how close-minded my parents are.
I started my internship yesterday.
My internship promotes social justice, and advocacy within the Islamic Community. While expressing to my parents how chill my day went, they started yelling how I am associating myself with "terrorists" and "women beaters". It was horrible. But, it made me more open-minded on how I should approach such a delicate topic involving stereotypes, racial profiling, and religion.
I am in the communications department. I will be producing articles that will encourage Muslims to enjoy their freedom of speech, and freely express their freedom of religion. Not only for Muslims, but also for any ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc, that believes they need to limit themselves for the happiness of our society.
I will be a pretty darn good reporter, and journalist for CAIR-NY.
Not all Muslims are terrorist. Not all people from the LGBTQ Community will hit on you. Not all people from various races will not understand what you are saying.
We are all people. We all deserve the same respect, and privileges.
I am going to work until this is done. I will change it.
