Iām honestly surprised that there are people (new readers coming from Charlotte) who think BH and CAH5D are set in the same world, or that BH is a sequel to CAH5D.
Not to mention that BH has been around for 14 years; from the very first episode of BH, you can see theyāre not the same, given the different origins of the magic and the system used.
The mere fact that there are two moons in BH makes it different; why would there be two moons in Canthiol but only one in Mabel and Klaus? It doesnāt make sense.
Even if they were related or set in the same world, CAH5D would make more sense as a sequel than a prequel, or existing at the same time.
In BH there are no Swordsmen/Sword Masters nor "Aura", only mages/sorcerers. In BH there are no races other than humans and demons (nor do they coexist peacefully).
In BH, there is at least one major school of magic where future mages are trained until they receive their mark (which is quite different from CAH5D). Furthermore, you cannot use mana freely without a charged mana stone, or unless you have already awakened and received a mageās mark. There are essential requirements to become a mage, unlike in CAH5D, where you simply need an affinity for mana and to study/train with a good mentor or on your own, whilst continuing to seek knowledge and grow stronger.
Nor is there a title as prestigious as āGrand Sorcererā in BH.
Because, if CAH5D were a prequel, where did all the other races go? Did they become extinct? Why would magic suddenly disappear, and why would they have to be on the brink of extinction for God to descend and grant them powers?
It is more likely that they are parallel worlds, rather than events occurring at the same time or in different timelines (remember the ending of CAH5D; although it is a nod to BH, it wouldnāt be far-fetched to think so).
Furthermore, YongYong, at the start of CAH5D, said this:
"The title of the new work is Ā«Charlotte and Her 5 DisciplesĀ», and it is a romance fantasy. Although it features wizards and magic once again, it is set in a different world from Ā«ėøė ķ¤ģ“ģ¦Ā»."
There's the answer ā it's as simple as reading the author's blog...
