Rin, who's supposed to be thinking about Blue Lock and how he can be better than Isagi and beat his brother Sae, currently finds himself aweing at every single move you make.

You catch him staring, a faint blush creeping up his cheeks as he quickly looks away, pretending to be engrossed in his ochazuke.

You lean forward, propping your arms on the table with your hands on each side of your face as you admire him.

His eyes lock with yours for a moment after you admire him and stare with no shame. Rin was pretty, you couldn’t help but smile and let out a soft giggle, the sound made his heart flutter.

He fidgets slightly, still not used to the way you make him feel despite being lovers for 8 months now. He feels like a kid with you, maybe that’s why he loves your presence so much.

He doesn’t look away from you, he takes his turn admiring every one of your features and hopes you don’t notice.

But you do, you notice the way his eyes move as he observes you. You notice the way he looks at you with loving, affectionate, gentle eyes.

He doesn’t look at anybody this way, just you. It makes you feel special, you’re his whole world just as he is to you.

“Rin,” you say softly, drawing his attention to you as he hums. He meets your gaze, trying to maintain his composure but he fails miserably. “You’re staring.”

“I wasn’t,” he mutters a bit too quickly. His attempt at trying to seem cool and collected in front of you makes you giggle again, sounding like music to his ears.

You roll your eyes playfully, Rin loves the way you just see through him. He loves the way you’re the only person that could understand him.

As you take another sip of your drink, he watches you, captivated by the simple act. The way your eyes light up when you talk, the way you smile– hell everything about you amazes him. He tries to act nonchalant, but he can’t hide the way you make him feel.

Rin’s mind drifts, trying to think about how he can be the best striker in the world and all that. But right now, all he can think about is how lucky he is to have you here with him.

You notice his intense gaze and feel your cheeks warm. “Rin,” you say softly, your voice drawing him out of his thoughts.

He blinks out of his trance, realizing he’s been staring again. “Sorry,” he mumbles, looking away for a moment before his eyes are drawn back to you, as if they can’t help themselves.

You prop your chin on your hand and smile at him, “I don’t mind,” you say, your voice soft. “I actually… like it..” You muttered, your voice cracks slightly as you try to speak it out coolly.

His blush deepens, and for a moment, he forgets to breathe. The way you’re looking at him now, with such affection makes him feel like he’s the only person in the world.

Rin’s eyes widen slightly, his hand inching closer to yours on the table as he points out. “You’re blushing,” he says, a teasing note in his voice.

You try to regain your composure as you huff out, “so what if I am?” You retort, your voice betrays your attempt at nonchalance.

He chuckles softly, the sound making your heart race. “It’s cute,” he says simply, his hand finally reaching yours, brushing your fingers lightly.

You could swear you died and came right back, did he even realize what he said? Your heart beats even faster, if it wasn’t for the chatters inside the café he might be able to hear your heartbeats.

You don’t think he does as he looks down for a moment, “I can’t focus with you around..” he says gently, his voice was low and sincere.

You giggle, a mix of embarrassment and joy as you squeeze his hand gently. “Sorry, you deserve to rest once in a while.”

He nods, his thumb stroking the back of your hand in a soothing gesture. “I know, thanks,” he admits, his eyes locking with yours again.

The two of you settle into a comfortable silence, stealing quick glances at each other. Everytime he looks at you with the same tender warmth, it makes your heart flutter all over again.

In that cozy café and the lingering scent of coffee, you both savor the moments of simply being with each other. The world outside can wait for now, all that matters is this moment.

“Awe pleeasee c’mon the cafe is only a few streets away.” You were on your knees while pulling Kou’s arm. You gave him puppy eyes in hopes of him giving in to you but he just looked away in anguish “[Name], I can't, I have to go home early today.” It pained him to see you begging like this but he literally had to go home early so he could bake cupcakes for a school event that he was assigned to. You, on the other hand, had spotted a new cafe opening and really wanted to try the strawberry shortcake they had. The smell of sweet yet comforting coffee would hit you every morning on the way to school. You stared at the displays through the window and you drooled every time you saw the delicacies they had that day, so you were determined to make Kou buy some for you. 

“I’ll help you bake so please come with me, It’ll be a date!” You were practically bowing in front of him now. He sighed, kneeling down with you “Well first stop kneeling on the floor, then we’ll talk…” He averted his gaze as he knew he’d probably spend all his time with you but he just couldn’t say no to you. The way you look at him with those eyes and the way you say his name  makes him weak in the knees. He was surprised he could hold out for this long. The tips of his ears were red from second-hand embarrassment. He couldn’t believe you were begging him in the middle of the school hallway. Stares and whispers of confusion surrounded you two but you didn’t care, you were just excited that Kou said he’d come with you (so you can use him as your wallet).  You smiled smugly as you stood up straight. “YES! Finally, it’s only been a week of me asking you.” You beam with proudness for your achievement of pleading Kou into agreement, you grab his sleeve and start dragging him outside of the school.

He doesn’t complain, too busy staring at your smile, but he does ask you to stop by his locker so he can grab his things. He texts Teru to set up his baking stuff once he gets home since he knows he won’t have time, he wanted to get the baking done by at least midnight but it seems like it might take longer considering his situation. Hopefully it won’t turn into a disaster… Teru can handle that right? You open the door to the cafe, bells ring to signal your entrance, you still clung to Kou’s sleeve as you talked to the person at the front desk. You visibly relaxed as you looked over the menu, “So many delicious things…” You pondered for a while about what you should get, and at last you decided to get the strawberry shortcake you really wanted and a tiramisu cake slice. Kou stared at his wallet, back up to you, then back up to the menu with the prices. He did so another time and sighed, then smiled, “Please just get me some water…” You decided on a seat next to the window with Kou across from you. It was late afternoon, you two talked about things from your day, and he talked about some supernatural stuff you didn’t really understand but you paid attention nonetheless since Kou’s face would light up talking about it. If it made him happy, you’d listen to his rambling all day. The clattering of dishes being placed upon your table caught your attention as the waiter gave you your slices of cake and Kou his glass of water. You excitedly grab your fork and dig in, the taste of sweet and fresh strawberries hit your taste buds first then the taste of the rich and fluffy cake follows. You chew happily as Kou drools at your cake, he takes a sip of his tap water. He stares at your happy face then out the window, it was definitely worth it to see you full of joy. You look at the tiramisu slice you got as well, you try it and it was just as delicious if not more. You catch the occasional glance from Kou and you feel bad, you look at his glass of water and realize he didn’t order anything for himself. You take a piece of cake on your fork and lean over the table to put it in front of him. “Eat.” You demand. “Huh?” The boy had a confused and surprised expression on his face. “Eat the cake. I think what I'm asking is pretty obvious.” You say, jokingly.  The fork laid in front of him intertwined with your fingers. Instead of taking the fork from your fingers like a normal person, Kou’s brain short-circuited and just eats the cake with the fork still in your hand. Letting you feed him.

“Hah?” You blink slowly at him and burst out giggling as the boy’s face heats up in red.

“Wa- Wait I wasn’t thinking-” He ends up fumbling over his words and then bangs his head into the table.

After your laughing fit, you make him raise his head again, “If you want me to feed you that badly you just need to ask since you did pay for these.”

He was mortified but he got over that quickly after you offered to feed him the cake.

He mumbled under his breath, “Well.. if you insist… “

You wanted to make him repeat it louder but you felt like being nice to him today, you took another piece of cake and this time it was the tiramisu slice. You hold it up like before and he chomps the cake. While he chewed it, he thought it was definitely worth the price.

“We should come here more often” He said, in between chewing causing the words to become jumbled.

“Kou I don't understand you, eat properly.” You tilted your head, asmused. All you heard was ‘wehouldmemoroften’

He looked like a chipmunk as he tried to eat the cake. You thought it was quite cute. He quickly swallowed it, “I said we should come here more often.”

You nodded as you smiled,  “I’ll pay next time.”
