What is the Aspec Glossary?

Caed- (sometimes also called caedo-) is a microlabel prefix that indicates that the person in question at one point did experience that type of attraction, but due to past trauma, no longer does. Someone who is caed may feel like their attraction was taken or "cut away" from them by trauma. "Caed-" and "caedo" come from the Latin word "caedere", which means "to cut off".

*Important note: caed identities are meant for survivors of trauma, people with PTSD, etc. There is another, similar microlabel prefix for people who feel they were once allo but no longer are and which is not exclusive to those who have experienced that type of trauma: eras.

Caedromantics (caedoromantics) typically feel they were once alloromantic, but feel that due to trauma, they no longer experience romantic attraction.

Caedsexuals (caedosexuals) typically feel they were once allosexual, but feel that due to trauma, they no longer experience sexual attraction.

Caedroses (caedoroses) or caed aroaces (caedo aroaces) are both caedromantic and caedsexual.

Caedplatonics (caedoplatonics) typically feel they were once alloplatonic, but feel that due to trauma, they no longer experience platonic attraction.
