After being restrained so forcefully earlier, Gen wouldn’t say he was okay, but he sure was doing better than some of the others. His eyes dropped for a moment, he hadn’t been able to protect the ship, that was his job and he failed and now Osyraa had them all. “I’m fine, Tilly,” he looked up at her and sighed softly. This was her first time taking the conn, her first time being in charge of a dangerous situation like this. “Are you? She grabbed you pretty hard and she threatened to kill you.” 

“You’re...?” They were adults, all of them, and this was surely not the first time he had heard Tilly talk like this, but to have it directed toward him was...different. Still, the confusion on his face was not entirely unkind, even going as far as to be touched by a small smile. “That’s...good. It’s good to have a zest for life.”

“thank you, tilly.” laughter is smothered. ah, anesthesia. he should’ve known tilly would be become...even more herself when he’d administered it. “how are you feeling? follow my finger.”

He could practically hear Reno’s eyes roll across the room as Paul rounded in on Tilly to let out his steam around. She was a good listener and didn’t hate him when he got like this. “You know what? I don’t even blame you for jumping to the command track like you did -- lest you get stuck with ignorant -- UGh.”
