been doing some tarot again after like, a year of not doing so, and it just made me think of the prince for some reason. do you think he's still in touch with his pagan roots (like, in the mundane sense i mean) despite having had served a godly pain elemental?
like i'd imagine him celebrating old festivals and holidays or something i dunno, it feels endearing somewhat. or is he that out of touch from his old self and past?
This one... This was seen immediately and took my brain some time to process exactly what I wanted to say in response. Tempest/Soul here, speaking on the matter of Cabadath and his previous (pagan) life. To say he remembers his past is something of a complicated statement. He does remember things, this much is true; but with each day post his revival and rescue from the cave where he was killed, those memories are gradually fading.
Yet there are still a few memories that remain. Memories of his family before his exile though he can no longer recall their faces; of when he first started practicing his dark arts but he does not remember the first spell he ever cast; little things flit to and from his mind's eye, but those are the memories he recalls the most...
Memories of ceremonies and celebrations from before his time as the Prince have been taken and replaced by his mistakes, of the steps he unknowingly took in becoming the Prince to begin with. He was a different man then, and is just as different now... Chzo saw to that very well.
