It was a Friday night after work, and conveniently, it was a Friday that both Oliver and Candice were both off-- which didnât happen very often. She was a nurse, so he knew that planning ahead of time wasnât always the best, but that they would have to find time for each other every once in a while. Oliver drove to Bywater Park, Candiceâs neighborhood. He hadnât seen her son, Ayden, in what felt like forever-- heâd probably be twice as big as he was the last time he saw him. Parking his car, Oliver grabbed the small gift off of the passenger seat of his car. He walked towards her front door and knocked gently, not wanting to wake the baby if he was sleeping. Oliver: Iâm here! Open the door so I can squeeze those cheeks! I wonât disclose whoâs Iâm talking about tho xoxo He texted her the message before putting his phone down in his pocket. As soon as the door opened, he lifted the small paper gift bag in his hands, âOkay, I wasnât sure what kind of night it was. So, I brought wine and I brought whiskey. I guess weâll see how it goes.â
