The Blooming Grove introduction being so full of life amongst death, each grave covered in blossoming colourful flowers, and finding Caduceus who represents the leaving of the old to find a new hope, is such a beautiful sequence in the campaign <3
(19) I feel like most of the table missed Liams 'master debater' (masturbator) joke and that is a shame
(34) Honestly luck is a great Feat for guest PCs. When you're only there for a short time, it's nice to have a few extra chances for good roles
Sam just loves giving his characters one (1) absurd belief just to annoy the other players. It's obviously the flat earth/moon thing with FCG, but I'm realizing its Nott's weird racist belief that all Firbolgs/Kenku/etc know each other tbh its very good character building to design characters that have obviously wrong beliefs that don't match up with what you as the player believe. I def get caught up in the habit of treating my characters as extensions of myself and thus have all of my own beliefs about the world Now I'm curious if Scanlan had something weird going on but its been too long for me remember (but tbh he had so many weird things going on...)
(58) Can you even make tea with fresh leaves??? Normally you need to dry them first. Also I guess it's mostly herbal teas since it doesn't sound like actual tea plants. Like they could be but tea prefers more slightly more tropical climates. Nothing wrong with herbal teas, I just have a preference for actual tea y'know Also I just realized how fitting it is for a cleric to be named Caduceus. Idk how I never realized
(1:09) I do really love Cad. I feel like its the perfect character for Talisin's whole 'i know something you don't' vibe. (which can sometimes annoy me in other circumstances)
(1:15) I love the entire interaction between Beau and Nott. A beautiful start to the friendly rivalry between them. Badass Beau catching a cross bow bolt plus the first nat 20 on the fancy crossbow.
(2:11) Casual 'life partner' mention. I don't know how to be chill about this. I love their friendship so much
(2:48) Caleb: "Part of me likes the way fire feels" Liam how dare you just causally throw this line in here
(3:23) how can anyone like pink more than purple. Purple is literally the best color
(3:31) It's weird that they keep calling him Clay, I didn't realize how long that lasted.
(3:46) the dice gods clearly have some opinion about Nott's ability to pick locks.
I don't have anything intelligent to say about Nila. It was such a masterful character and performance and brought so much to the table
Jake, as Emily and Murph laugh: --really quick perception check.
Murph: Go ahead and give me a perception check.
[Dice rolls.]
Jake: I-- no fucking lie I crit again.
Murph: You crit?
[Emily and Caldwell cackle.]
Caldwell: Why is it here?
Jake: (laughing) So…
Murph: Hank, um. You think back on that jean jacket. [Growing Pains begins playing] And… you remember that you were also remembering it with rose colored glasses.
Jake (Henry voice): You're not gonna tell me it wasn't cool. You're not gonna tell me it wasn't cool.
[Emily laughs.]
Caldwell: No, Murph, no!
Emily (Fia voice): How could you do this!
Caldwell: Murph!
Emily: It has to be so rad! Murph! How could you do this!
[Jake laughs]
Caldwell: How could you!
Emily: This is taking a crit away! This is taking a crit away!
[Emily and Caldwell laugh as Jake and Murph talk.]
Murph: You bought it because it looked cool, but there was a--
Jake: I'm being punished for a natural 20.
Murph: There was a small--
Jake: This is crazy.
Murph: There was a small Miami Dolphins patch on it.
Jake: In campaign 1 they found Werther's Originals! They found Werther's Originals! I just want-- let the record show! Let's--
Emily: Murph, this is the cruelest thing you've ever done as a DM. [Jake laughs.] This is the cruelest thing I've ever witnessed.
Caldwell: This is worse than Gemma! This is worse than Gemma!
Jake: Worse than Gemma. Wow. Yeah.
Murph: Um, no, you don't see your fucking-- [The others laugh.] jean jacket. You fucking maniacs.
Jake (Henry voice): Alright. Well, with that fuckin' investigate then at least we know that it isn't here. It's not like I'll-- I left no stone unturned. I'll get a new one.
Murph: With your percep-- nat 20 perception check, you see that the goddamn doors to the cellar are open.
[The others laugh.]
Caldwell: Okay.
Murph: That they're not chained up. They're closed, but they're--
Caldwell: I'm sure there's one at the Crux. I'm sure there's one at the Crux we can get you, it'll look real good.
Emily: Murph, that was… really really funny.
Jake: Yeah.
[Emily laughs.]

Nein Again music for Episode 28: Within the Nest under the cut!
There was some strange overlapping music going on in this episode, so I'll note if that affects one of my IDs. This might have been a mistake because in some prior episodes, Matt had some purely ambient tracks (market, forest, swamp noises, etc.) overlayed.
First, during Sam's ad read, Matt plays Ondra's Gift from the Pillars of Eternity soundtrack.
Kaer Morhen from Witcher III begins around 13:30 as the Nein are deciding how to proceed.
Unfortunately, that song also overlapped with The Streets of Whiterun from The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, so the sound is very muddled.
Next is Peaceful Moments from the first Witcher game.
Around 31:40, when Nila consults her smell bag to decide which group to recruit, Yes, I Do... from Witcher III begins.
I was not able to ID the droning, menacing music when the players approached the Blooming Grove. I'm going to keep looking around for it just in case, and I'll update it here if I find it.
Emhyr var Emreis plays at 1:00:45, when the Nein ask how many seasons Caduceus has been alone. It replays at about 1:07:00.
Family Matters plays at about 1:13:45, leading into when Nott shoots at Beau with her crossbow.
Next is Burial Isle from PoE at about 1:16:25, when Beau pulls out the crossbow bolt.
At 1:29:20, Temple of Woedica plays.
Forest Day 2 from World of Warcraft plays while Beau tests the trees around the perimeter of the Sour Nest. I've timestamped it in the compilation below.
That's all I can embed, but there's more! Elmshore from PoE plays around 1:39:40.
At 2:26:25, when Beau is taking her turn, Death or Sovngarde from Skyrim plays.
At 2:41:30 or so, Commanding the Fury from Witcher III starts up once Nott disengages to run.
After a brief lull in the music, Steel on Steel from Skyrim begins at 2:43:40. (I really like that this plays here because it's combat music for humanoid groups and is very common in their fortresses.)
Silver for Monsters... from Witcher III plays next, while Beau describes her ninja dash around the walls.
At 3:24:55, while Frumpkin the spider scouts down into the basement, Exodar themes from World of Warcraft play.
At about 3:36:30, music from Howling Fjord in WoW plays while Frumpkin the spider scouts the second floor. I timestamped the song that's most recognizeable.
Yes, I Do... from Witcher III plays again at 3:52:10, when Nila gives Beau a red feather.
