My thought's on Jude's First 'I love you'...
I've this post sitting in my drafts for months (yet again), so I guess I should finish what I started, and tbh it's just me being me picky. It's really not that serious.
First, most of you know how I felt about the Wicked Proposal Event in general. If you weren't around for that, here is the post I made about it. This post is focusing on Jude's story and how I feel about it. Please remember that this is just my opinion and if you hold a different opinion, I totally respect that.
First, I would like to say that the proposal itself was lovely. It was very him. It was adorable, sweet, a little cheeky with the box toss versus going on bended knee and the way he asked us to take his last name beneath a moonlit stroll. Perfection! I ATE THAT UP!
Then we get to this one little line that he has never ever said to us before: I love you.
Now let me preface my following statements with these facts: Yes, I realize this event very likely takes place in the very distant future, and/or this is actually not a canon event (see my other post for about that). Also, I know an engagement is very much an appropriate time to say I love to the one whom you're going to marry. However, the execution of Jude's very first 'I love you' was lackluster imo.
If you don't think so, that's fine. If you loved it, I'm happy for you. But I didn't love it, so feel free to move along.
sorry can't go out tonight all my bones are gone
INKTOBER 21 - FUZZYÂ
Hehe.. fluffy baby ✨
"Spamton is important to Tenna, and it's understandable why some people are focused on them and how there's more to it outside of the pipis scene and them being sexymen" and "Tenna is more than Spamton's partner, and the fandom has a problem with diluting Tenna down to that and ignoring everything else about him, especially his relationship with the Dreemurrs" are two things that can coexist.

This goes without saying, but regardless of how you feel about how a fictional character is treated, whether within the source material or the fandom, it is never, NEVER an excuse to harass anyone, especially the creator, over them.
Not only are they, obviously, fictional characters and you're being total jerkasses over them, you're not doing said characters any favors other than showing how much of a rotten apple of a fan you are.
I don't mind people not liking a certain character, what I do mind is when people act like said character is popular for popular sake and ignore a lot of reasons people can like them for reasons that isn't related to their popularity.
Case in point, Tenna. I've seen a few people complain about Tenna's popularity and say he's only popular just because he's a sexyman. Ignoring there is a lot of reasons people, me included love him outside of that, such as his character, his backstory, how relatable and sympathetic he is, and more (and even if it's because he's sexy, at most, some do like him for more that just that).
Even with characters like Spamton, I get why he's popular for similar reasons for Tenna even if he isn't personally my favorite Deltarune character.
Just because a character doesn't appeal to you doesn't mean they're not popular for nothing, especially when it shows there is a lot of reasons people can enjoy and like said character.
