Chapter 27 of Fault Lines is currently sitting at 9K+ words and somehow... still not done. 🫠
I wish I could say I have control over this chapter, but apparently I handed Em and John one soft moment and they took the whole steering wheel. So yes, I may have gotten a little carried away. A completely reasonable “why is this still going?” amount. 😬
This chapter is definitely lighter. There’s more breathing room, more tenderness, more Em and John romance, because apparently I looked at them and said, “You know what you need? A little safe bubble before everything gets sharp again.”
Of course, this is still Fault Lines, so there are thorns along the way. But don’t worry, we won’t land brusquely in the rose bush. 🥀
