Kate sat at the table next to her niece, picking up some of the food in front of her to help feed her. She let a wide smile come along her features as she scrunched her nose up at the little girl in front of her, a little girl that was going to be one in October. It was hard to believe how quick life had gone by because it was like yesterday where she was sitting in front of her sister’s high chair and feeding her. She turned her head to look over at the woman sitting next to her, watching her as she talked to her husband. After a few minutes, she heard Julia speak next to her. “Sorry, I was paying too much attention to your adorable daughter. What did you say?”

During the summer after Starcourt shut down, he spent many afternoons there. He worked in a video store, but watching VHS tapes just wasn’t the same as going to the movies. That, and Robin insisted he keep up to date on all the latest flicks.

Steve was just leaving a matinee when he happened to see a familiar face standing in the lobby.

 He couldn’t believe his luck. Moreover, he couldn’t believe that she hadn’t called before showing up in Hawkins. It had been months since they last talked to each other over the phone, but Steve had the same cheery disposition that he’d always had when he approached her. It was almost like nothing had changed.
