When it comes to cooking Ben always tend to go all out. He was excited about the Community Potluck. The doctor had made some Chicken Sliders, sandwiches, and also baked some nice rolls and cookies. Ben was lucky he enjoyed cooking, he knew a lot of Chef who did not want to cook afterwork but honestly he did not mind and he was glad he had an excuse to go all out. He smiled as he placed the food on the table when he saw Darius and smiled.

TJ knew he should have gone back and made contact with him at the OEA's gala. There were several things that TJ should and could have done that night, but he hadn't. As soon as he left, he turned and didn't look back. The one thing that bothered him in the days after was that he couldn't contact him. TJ assumed that the guy was caught up in the madness of it, but the question was, did he even survive? TJ was running scared because he always knew that without that guy to blame, he was screwed. He couldn't blame anyone; he couldn't lean on anyone. He was on his own.

Before long, TJ found himself being called into the chief's office, which was already a bad sign and something he couldn't avoid. He knocked on the door before nervously stepping into the office and waiting to be addressed.

Still, he had come to an arrangement with two people. One was a Dormouse who had run a quaint little bakery as a front, Darius’s teashop was set up in behind the storage room, have hidden by a shelf filled with various baking supplies. He had paid the Dormouse for the space and for his silence - more so for his silence. The other was a rat, probably not the best partner to have but Darius had needed someone to get the customers for him, he paid him in emotions when the rat was looking for a fix (which was quite often.)

Darius had two rules. Payment before product and be cheaper than your competition. That was it. Though he had never met this Alistar, by reputation alone he didn’t seem to be a very good man. Denizens feared him and he had completely cornered the Emotions market just because nobody had dared to try and take any business away from the devious man. So of course, it had been easy for him to charge ridiculous amounts for the emotions he sold, getting denizens hooked and then collecting the debt in the most brutal ways imaginable. 

Darius was starting to change that, and he certainly, was more than prepared for the consequences.
