Something I just realized, if Dream died in the other au’s(Handler, nt, rivals ect) how would the other members feel? Would the server quarantine itself and die like in the Atlas au?
First off, no server quarantine/rot, thats an atlas specific thing. For the most part, nothing actually happens to the server if Dream dies. Except for like, Rewind, where the next mod in line (Callahan) becomes the new admin. As for how they'd all feel.
Rivalsduo prison au, most people wouldn't feel much of anything. They dont know about what happened in prison, and they're just relieved he isn't coming back. Assuming that he didnt survive the first few nights due to injuries, Techno might be the only one who really cares. Sapnap and George might feel mixed emotions. Might quietly grieve. Techno? Absolutely inconsolable. That was his friend, the person he promised to protect. He promised he would save dream and he failed. If you thought Sam's death was brutal when Tommy got him, it's nothing compared to what Techno is going to do to him.
Handler au? It honestly depends when he dies. Is it before he's discovered? Did Tommy finally snap and just kill him one day? In that case, most people are angry and horrified. Why was Dream out of prision to begin with. What happened to him? It would certainly land Tommy in the execution zone real fucking fast, no debate needed. Sapnap might kill him first before it can even be questioned. In the event it was after he's been rescued? Probably a twisted feeling of relief. He wasn't really getting better. He certainly wasn't happy, no matter how much he smiled. He didn't think he was a person. As much as Sapnap and Techno and everyone else would've liked to see him recover, maybe it's better that he isn't suffering anymore.
As for No Torture Au, it's again a toss up on when he died. Did he never make heal after leaving the cell? Did everything catch up and he died in the infirmary? The general server would be confused and a little upset. What was the point of going through this hastle if he was just going to die? Well, that at least means they dont have to risk him hurting them. Probably. Sam would not even be given the option of prision. If Ant doesn't maul him to death, George certainly will. Is it after? Months into his little exile? Well, it's easy to guess why he did it. The pain of knowing you're permanently disabled after being such an active and abled person certainly takes a toll. The grief for most of the server is sickening. Tommy doesn't even know why he cares so much, he's supposed to hate the guy. Yet he's standing at his grave every day, questioning why he didn't realize sooner. They all are. They'd assumed things were progressing well and that they were finally happy, and they were wrong.

…and then a close friend/ally is consumed by bloodlust that she comes to regret and a neutral party is watching from the sidelines, unable to intervene and the death is ultimately the fault of no one involved, but the situation the story put them in and also Badboyhalo is there. Having a good time.
